9 months old

Weight: Almost 10kg
Height: 75 cm
Teeth : 8 (4 up, 4 down)
Solid : 2 times porridge per day (4 spoonful brown + white rice)
Fruit : 2 times per week
Milk : 6oz - 3 times per day
Water : 6oz - 8oz

Marching into another month, big baby is turning to 9 months full on the 3rd day of CNY. After the CNY I found that looking after him is more preasuring as I mention before.

Now he no longer lie flat for long, all the time he wakes means lie on stomach or crawling around. He can crawl better and fast now, especially when you have food on your hand and ask him to come, he crawl more fast. Really so "wai sik". He can crawl from room to kitchen and look for me. He will crawl near to the chair or his walker and pull or drag to make sounds. Sometimes go under my computer table or chair when I go online.

When go on walker and near the table, his hand will sweep down the things from the table. When bathing, his palm pat or splash the water, sometime it wet my pant and face. Changing diaper or cloth is more challenging now, he won't stay still for you to change even you shout "Don't move". So I need to get something for him to hold and play for a while in order to get the change done. When I shout for "No" sometime he don't dare to go further or touch things. Now I place him in the computer room, put the ABC floor mat and let him play, lie and crawl. Here more safety as this room is more empty and spacious. Playpen can't used on him. Not more than 1 minute he will cry if put him in there. Every now and then, he wants new things. Those toys he plays all this while no longer he interested in.

I still can't put him on high chair yet, as when half way of eating sometime he make fuss and cry for carry to eat. Then he will pull his body down. So, better I still put him on rocking chair to feed. As he can't sit by himself yet, lazy to sit. When feeding also moving around, so I need to get him something to hold. If he don't want something, he will push away. Push very strong now. Ask to "pai pai shou" (clap hand), he will clap on my palm. Now, he can do it whenever we ask for.

Few days ago thought of potty train him, I carry him with leg open and put the pot down, he just refuse it, keep on shouting, kicking and crying. Can't carry for long too as he is heavy now. I think wait until he able to sit only start training him. Now I'm looking for a child gate block between the dining area and kitchen area. I checked one from eBay, quite like it USD$32.88. I'm still waiting the seller to give me the shipping price. If it is reasonable I will get it. Just for safety since now he crawl everywhere. Like to make noise, with all his baby language. Sometime talk to him, he will kind of response you. When he don't like he will shout. After milk don't even want to carry to burp first, he will twist and cry for let go.

For his solid meal. Everyday fish porridge is the based, added with the vege mixture like:
1. Brocolli + cauliflower + carrot (or Brocolli + cauliflower, Brocolli + carrot, cauliflower + carrot)
2. Small pumpkin from Japan in green (eat the skin too)
3. Carrot + egg yolk (very nice!)
4. Bayam
5. Spring onion + carrot
6. Potato + tomato + carrot
and etc...

2007 CNY (Part V)

20/2 初三 - Morning sleep till 8am, although is still very tired, get up to do some chores. At noon, went to visit hubby unlce's house at Jalan Ipoh then lunch at a restaurant nearby his house. His health is getting better, he got a stroke 2 years ago. Now able to walk. Have 2nd time lou sang.

Terry boy, just feed him thick cereal before out of the house. Just 2 hours time, when the time we reach restaurant, he cry and make fuss there and don't want to sit in the stroller. I really don't know what he want, so just carry him to walk around, he is ok with it. All dishes came and ppl start eating, I'm very hungry, but couldn't sit down to eat. Once I sit he cry, so after a while I give him milk, after milk he stop making noise and can sit for a while. Then quickly I finish the lunch, all getting cold the time I ate. Sometimes he just very fast to get hungry. After all eating and fussy, he get tired. All the way back home he sleep, I also sleep.

Proceed to hubby's aunty house at Selayang. Nobody at home. Wondering how come everytime they not call before going. Last year also the same, nobody at home, go second round only the ppl in. Back home, everyone continue sleep.

At night, my wealthy uncle#1 treat us table dinner at Restaurant Jade, Pandan Indah. 6 tables, have 3rd time lou sang, all good dish and liquor. That night, Terry keep on throw out, got about 10 times I think. Even just carry him to sit, he also throw out. So me and my mum take turns carry him, clean him. He just don't want to sleep or sit in the stroller no matter how I rock and toss him. Busy entertain him and eating. I suspect must be travelling too much or the water in Ipoh he can't take it. So back home, I rub oil on him and he looks better after that.

That's the program of the day.

2007 CNY (Part IV)

19/2 初二 (continue) - Reach my uncle#2 house, full of cousins and aunty, very very noisy, pack, no place to sit, hot. After I unloaded all the stuff from the car boot then set up sarung stand for my darling to sleep. Luckily he able to sleep in the noisy environment for about 1 hour. Children comes in and out from the room, some want to look at him sleeping, some want to wait for him awake to play with him, some want to carry him.

Many of my cousins there saw him the first time. As compared to 4 of the same year babies in the house. Terry is among the youngest, be praised for having good body size, looking good, looks steady and tuff, big eyes, more teeth, most good boy, like to smiles, good to play with...etc...until I got a bit pai seh...everyone one likes to play with him. I'm afraid he will cry for mummy for he seeing so many different and new faces. To my surprise he is not cry for my hug and get used to the environment very fast, as long as the person who carry him plays with him. His sleeping routine is not being mess up even is noisy. He slept 3 times in the afternoon...consider good already, as other babies not get to sleep well and 'lau gei'. Afternoon time I cooked him the Nestlé instant fish porridge and at night I cook the fresh vege porridge, as the instant porridge portion is very little and he is not so much love the taste.

My aunty prepared good food for us..all very delicious. Received and giving out a lot of ang paos. Dsitribute gift to aunties and cousins, Chit-chat with them...talk about babies stories..I only get to closed my eyes rest for 15 minutes, even there is a lot of cousins and aunties take turns to carry Terry, but I just don't want to trouble them for long, so I just wake after the short rest.

After dinner, I just get so angry and piss off when hubby said wanted to go back KL on that night, even he has promised to stay over night and back the next day morning. Yes, I know the next day noon we need to visit his relatives. Everyone wants us to stay for a day, but he just want to go back. So what can I do? Complaining that we are so noisy and not comfortable sitting in the house whole day being so bored. While Terry having last round nap in the sarung, I packed up the things, then waken Terry, pack the sarung stand, stuff everything in the car and said early bye-bye to all. Actually I'm crying in the car, for missing all of them which some I'm not see for so long. I just keep quiet throughout the journey back.

Back time Terry create havoc, after I wake him in the middle of nap just now, he just couldn't sleep in the car. So, I feed him the vege porridge. Later, he poo-ed (whole day not poo-ed, as too many ppl play with him). After so long we only get to stopped at highway rest house, no car park. So stop by the road side at the rest house exit, change him and clean him. He poo-ed a lot until the stool stick up to his waist and his shirt, very dirty, the stool watery one. He cried so angry as I open up all and wash him with water carry in my bottle.. When put on cloth, his leg keep on kicking very angry until I can't even change him. My dad help me to pull up his leg then only it done.

So continue our way back, a while later he wants milk, so I feed him. After finish he throw out half of it when burp. Dirty the car seat, his shirt and my shirt. Really so messy. Not change him anymore, carry him, he is crying while I need to clean up the mess. After calm him down, put him back into the car seat, then it only called finish, that time is almost reach Bukit Beruntung. This is what we have done in the car since journey back. Finally he can sleep soudly and I also very tired and close my eye sleep until sent my dad back and back to my house at 11:30pm.

Boy is just too tired, sleep when I clean him and put him back to the cot without making any noise and sleep until the next morning.

Year Golden Pig 2007

This is a stable year for those who are born in the year of the Goat. You will be quite particular about having your own personal space. Hence, you may not like anybody to constantly demand attention from you. This year, you will find yourself attracted to the fields of philosophy, new age (tarot, meditation or alternative healing etc) or human behavior. It is good to keep a low profile because the general year luck is not especially good. You will not get a lot of support or assistance from others. This is not a good year to implement huge changes, especially anything that involves huge risk such as changing careers or setting up businesses.

Career
Stay put. Avoid changing jobs and business expansion. Be conservative in any investment plans.

Wealth
For those who are getting a stable income, it is good. However, it will be more challenging for those who depend on commission or sales.

Relationship
There might be more quarrels or disputes between those who are already in relationships as there will be a strong desire to have your own personal space. You might want to do more things alone than with company. It is more difficult than previous years for those who are single to find the right partner.

Health
Average. Be more cautious if there are elders at home. Elders at home are more prone to have health problems or being accident-prone. Look out for them.

People
Though there is no significant increase of betrayals or backstabbings this year, do be careful of your own behavior. Do not be rude to others even when you wish to be left alone.

Just read for fun.

2007 CNY (Part II)

18/2 初一 - Early morning 7am, I'm bringing the hamper and gift packs down to the car. Walk up and down 3 times only shifted all down. Faster eat bread as breakfast then bath and feed Terry and we get out of the house at 9.30am to my FIL house. Give out ang pao to 3 SIL, serve tea to FIL with wishes then wait for my parents to visit my FIL before we together go to visit my uncle#1 at Bangsar. My FIL and 3 SIL went to Genting in the afternoon

Every year my uncle#1 open house to served his friends and relatives from reunion dinner to chu 3. Once my uncle#4 have asked how much he actually spend people eating during CNY. He said about 20k+. My this uncle#1 like to served his guests and giving good food.

This year there are so many babies around, my aunty is just so thoughful to us having small babies and kids. She moves aways all the sofa seat and table to the side and empty the area at the center of the dining room, for the convenient of small kids and babies to play without being knock. So, childrens and babies can play at the big empty space. And, parents sit on the floor. I put my stroller there to let Terry sleep, after he tired playing around. He got many ang pao, some he able to hold and then he bite it of cause, until the ang pao edge break a hole.

After eat, drink, chit-chat at uncle#1 house, we back home to rest for 2 hours, before we going down to Happy Valley restaurant for dinner with FIL. Having the 1st lou sang of the year. Can't imagine that, first day of CNY ppl also like to dine out, full house.

2007 CNY (Part I)

It is just very very tiring throughout the few days of CNY. Here are what we did over the few days.

17/2 年三十 - back to Seremban for so called reunion, but not everyone is there. We go off at 9.30am reach at 11.30am with a lil bit traffic jam before the Seremban, Labu exit. As promised to visit his aunty first, end up didn't make it, as Wai have no communication with FIL and thought that they already left at that time. In fact they still jam in Bangi. So, we direct drop at grandfather house around 12 noon. Had our lunch, and at 2pm+ only my FIL back as they visit his aunty at around 12, a bit late as previous year. So, you see this is the 2nd year (after married) we did not visit aunty.

All the way back to Seremban is raining. Thank God for the rain, it is not hot when we sit under zinc roof. This round is less fly then previos time we visit. Terry boy is good, he can sleep with sarung and play balls with the cousins there. Since CNY, I have change Terry feeding. Before go out out the house, I gave him cereal first, then on the way visiting just feed milk. Thats way it is more easy for me. Since kampung there got rare chicken and dog, we just walk near to them and let Terry look at it. He look stun to animals..haha...

After dinner, giving out ang pao, then we left. Reach home sweet home at 7pm.

Today Nian 29

Too bad hub can't get off for work. Thought plan to go wet market to do my last round of marketing, but couldn't make it now. Buy at Carrefour? no no for me.

Huh...I very sleepy now, mind automatics wants me to stop work now. Write like mad again. See you and good night. 1 more last post :)

TV feeds

If you ask me if I am ok to live in a house without TV. My answer is yes, I can. I don't particular like to watch TV very much. Watch or not doesn't matter. I only watch selective program, other than that, I don't watch. If I miss an episode, I don't purposely track it back and don't even bother hows the story ends, if the last episode I didn't watch.

For current, I only watch CH19 7pm the drama "Love Concierge", A MediaCorp production. Love to see the cast custome. Then, from 8pm onwards CH30 drama - Ten Brothers, Life Made Simple, The Charm Beneath, all I have watch before Terry was here. So, if you "gan cheong" want to know the story of Ah Wong or how it goes in The Charm Beneath I can tell you. Drama kind like Life Made Simple, I like the most, as it is no stress of watching it, simple to understand and have lots of laughter. LMS is my 3rd time watching now.

Terry likes watching advertisement now. He will stop playing and stare at the TV when he heard Ho! Ho! Ho! the Horlick ad which describing the nutritions of Horlick. Another one is the "Wall's Mini Cornetto" ad with a big fat cat. Ohh he likes a lot he will smile when saw that cat. Will show him a real one if have. When I let him watch Baby Einstein, he will turn here and there and not showing any interest to it. So, I still don't know whether is the right time now to give Baby Einstein. Anyway, I seldom on other TV program for him.

Everywhere is people

Just went to shopped again at Carrefour, as we have something left to buy for CNY. I went alone and bought in both handful. A lot of ppl coming out to buy things as the day near. Pushing a trolley inside really hard, as the item display on the pallet blocking half of the walk way with many trolley following you and come opposite you, need not to block people when you look for things you want. Really not comfortable to do shopping last minute. Not only that, many item have sold off too...Overall the CNY items in Carrefour is having not much to choose from compared to hubby got it at Econsave market. The quality also not as good as those in Econsave. Since is last minute, so we don't wan to go back there again. Just grab a few I want then go back. Carrefour business hour is extended to 12 midnite for a few days.

Yesterday Valentines day, as usual I still need cook and we not celebrating it, when I went out to throw rubbish I saw a couple walked out from the lift and the lady carrying a big bouquet of roses with bear. At that moment actually I was quite envy it. Anyway not too bad too, even is over, today hubby got me a box of Ferrero Rocher. Good also, I'm happy already.

So far with PPP

Have started with PPP since more than a week ago, this is how I did with PPP. they are many many good paid post, but it really needs time to do each posting and grab fast. It is no such things of "reserve offer" like what Blogitive does with a reserve of 2 days. PPP only let you reserve your opps for 30 minutes! so, need to write very fast and also in between 1 of own post to write.

So far, I have done 17 posts, only 3 posts got approved. I hope all will get approve soon and money coming in after 30 days. You see writing paid post is really writing like mad, now we can take 3 opps per day with in between 1 own post, that means I need to do 6 posts per day in order to take the maximum of opps. If my blog having higher tack, good PR and Alexa scores, I even have more opps and high paid post to choose from. I hope after this month onwards will see some good result gaining population and raise my PR. There is an opps offer USD1000 to write about Rockstartup. fantastic or not? But guess not much blogger can take that. It needs a blog with PR 8.

Blogitive this week no offer to me..quite bad..normally I will have 2 each day for $10. Google adsense keep on growing...money counting ...and counting...wish me luck ya!

All get ready

Whatever need to be brush, wash, rub, clean, shop and buy, we have done. Here are the CNY gifts and hampers to be send to our relatives. Tomorrow hubby will off for work and we will get ready to celebrate CNY. Hope tomorrow we have spare some times to go out and look at the red red decoration at shopping mall.

17/2, Sat - back to Seremban, his granpa house for reunion dinner.

18/2, Sun - Visit FIL, my uncle and back FIL's place to have dinner
19/2-20/2, Mon-Tues - back to Ipoh.
21/2, Wed onwards - visiting KL friends & relatives.

Basically that is our plan at the moment. So many places to go, I think will mess up Terry's eating and sleeping routine. I have get ready too the Nestlé porridge and cereal to bring along, as not at home to do cooking. For the porridge just need to cook for 3 minutes. Not many in a box only 3 packets.

Terry's playground

Since Terry don't like to lie down for long and don't like to sleep, he likes to lie on stomach to play. For safety, I place him in the playpan or put on ABC floor mat for him to play. He don't like being put in the playpan, once he can't see us or walk away from him, he will cry. As for on the floor, he will cry too if we are not there to play with him. Be it on the floor he can crawl further to discover more of my drawer knob, and open it for those light drawer, hi-fi player volumn button, door stopper, home slipper and etc..things he can reach for.

He is getting boring on the toys he plays since born. He will throw it or just hold it for second then put it away and look for other new things. He is kind of detail in looking for things, a very small piece of paper or even a single hair on his bed he can pick it up to play. I notice he like small small toys than big toys.

Happy Valentines day & Happy CNY

Today is Valentines day, since my pak toh day, we don't purposely celebrating it. In my mind I doesn't have any good memories back on V days. If both are lovey dovey everyday is Valentines day and on actual day everything comes expensive, be it for flowers especially, candle light dinner and gifts. In my courtship back in years, with ex-es or hubby, I never received any flowers before. Hub think that it is waste of money giving flower will die fast and cannot keep for long. Thats the reason why :)

For those who celebrate it today, wish you all have a sweet and memorable Valentines day. TO ALL MY FRIENDS....... My wish for you is a man/women whose love is honest, strong, mature, never-changing, uplifting, protective, encouraging, rewarding and unselfish.

Not forget an earlier wishes on CNY. Wishing you & family “A Happy, Healthy, Success & Prosperous BOAR Year"

My new look

A brand new look since after give birth and a SAHM for 9 months. So long I didn't care of my hair and don't even bother how I look like. So, I tell myself, must always keep looking good, even stay at home being a fulltime mummy. I still want to stay young and looks good, else "wong min poh" name will crown on me. Today went to did my hi-lite as I planned. This new look cost RM130 ;)

Before & After

Mosquitoes bite

Lately, the weather turn extremely hot, daytime the sun shining bright and in white! and since the raining until flooding season just over and the mosquitoes are back in action of sucking blood. Even we stayed at high of 10th floor, but Terry always got mosquitoes bites him. At the moment, he having the highest number of bites since born. Total of 16 bites spotted over his face, arm and leg.

I read magazine before those mummy recommend Zam-Buk for mosquitoes bite, so I bought one to used on him now, and together rub with J&J anti-mosquitoes lotion, hope that it heals fast. The bites got big got small. Don't know whether he feel itchy or not?! normally we sleep under fan, but since a lot of mosquitoes at night, we on air-con now. But, still found new mark on the next day. Pity...

  • Lie on bed and read magazine - my most most like habit is lying on bed and read my favourite magazine until I fall a sleep. I have lost this pleasure after having Terry :P
  • Shopping - really can shop for hours, longest is up to 8 hours. Even window shop I also like it. I still remeber I haven't end my confinement already went for shopping. Last time when I'm working in Mid Valley I can shop everyday.
  • Neat and tidy - in the sense of iron all my cloths and pants which ever to wear for work or for outing. Now I even iron Terry's cloth.
  • Workout - like to move around. During my gym day I pretty love doing body step and body combat, but no Yoga or body balance to me, I will fall asleep..haha...but now no more again after having baby...woman ahh woman...when can we have time for all our likes?
  • I like to hand-made things to friends and design it my own. Last time I used to hand-made Birthday card, Valentine's day card, bookmark. Hubby got that a few from me.
Here are mine, sounds normal right? I would like to tag Baby Darren, The Blue Ranger, Pinky and Shereen.

More on weekend

Yesterday back to my home for early re-union dinner. Since my mum will off work on 16th and we will need to back Seremban on 17th, it is no extra time for us to sit together to have a reunion dinner.

Since a week ago, my mum already bought all the things she wanted to cook and on the Sunday morning she skipped church just to prepare us a wonderful dinner. She insists want to make it even her both leg ankle is pain and feel tired for standing long. Since I got married out and hub seldom back my home for meals, so her purpose is to see everyone sit together. Initially, my mum also call my god-sis over for dinner, but she is very busy to keep the house for CNY. So, she not be with us in the dinner. My cousin bro, who work nearby my home, came for dinner too.

After church in the afternoon, I went to trim my straight and thin hair (thin because of dropping after giving birth), which stick to my face and makes me looks old and tired. I change my hair style. I got it a layer cut and perm for bottom part. The hair length is now above shoulder. This is my first time doing perm. Overall it looks young again and suit my face shape. I may plan to hi-lite it few days later...see how. I'm afraid I'm not used it, so I keep on asking my stylist not to make it too curly. A soft curly will do. Having permed hair no need required many brush on hair, after wash just simply put on hair cream and brush it with your finger.

No power supply

Just 2 hours ago, when I was sleeping with Terry, suddently power cut off. Wow..is just a hot day how can no power now, and I was thinking Terry won't have good sleep later. Then, I check out hub sleeping in the dining room with his football match on. I wake him up to check the electric box, to make sure the button is not jump off. In his blur blur eye just awake from me, he claimed to me that it is ok, nothing wrong with it. Then, he went to bedroom.

I really can't sleep without fan. I try to check out up and down units, they have power supply. So, I assumed must be the meter in the electrical room having problem. We don't have a torch light at home, so I got to on my handphone to get light and look for TNB number to report failure. So, I called and they send technician to check.

I was thinking will they come later or tomorrow morning. Terry is keep on waking up and not sleep comfortable. His forehead is sweating. I keep on fanning him and open up more windows. Just pray that they will come and sort it out asap.

1 hour later, 3 malay technician ring my bell, and ask us to open our door to check the electric box. They told me that they have check the meter outside and it works fine. Then I awake hub again to check it, without letting them to come in first. Hub push up and down the power button, there the power is back, lights on. *duh! So, you see man means man, they won't do things properly. I really so embrassing and guilty asking them to come and do nothing without check it properly first.

So I can't sleep now, online and continue make my money posting. Actually just now I was very tired after cleaning the whole kitchen for 2 hours.

Weekend

Today and tomorrow should be the last weekend for us to buy our CNY things. This morning as usual I went to market to buy my 1 week dishes. I reached at 6.45am. When I walk towards the street outside the market, I saw a lot of peoples buying things, like pasar malam. The street is full park with all stalls selling different kind of CNY stuff, like sea cucumber, mushroom, decoration items, nian kao, biscuit, sweets/nuts and etc...imagine the sky still haven't turn bright people already there...They are getting more earlier out of the house just to get the best before it late.

The day near to CNY, the things are getting more expensive. My mum just told me 4 white bawal fish, big like palm is cost RM60+. That fish is not "tao dai chong" only normal "bak chong" (white bawal). My mum luckily has bought it last week for 3 "tao dai chong" about RM45+. So you can imagine how price things are keep on going up. If you haven't done all your neccessary shopping, do make it as earlier as possible. When I was buying my things, I heard 2-3 times those aunty are asking does chillis price is raising...well this scene of raising price is happen every year. Luckily our government have few items under price control. But anyway is still expensive for some.

The 29 Healthiest Foods on the Planet

The following is a "healthy food hot list" consisting of the 29 foods that will give you the biggest nutritional bang for you caloric buck, as well as decrease your risk for deadly illnesses like cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Along with each description is a suggestion as to how to incorporate these power-foods into your diet.

    01. Apricots
The Power: Beta-carotene, which helps prevent free-radical damage and protect the eyes. The body also turns beta-carotene into vitamin A, which may help ward off some cancers, especially of the skin. One apricot has 17 calories, 0 fat, 1 gram of fiber. Snacks on them dried, or if you prefer fresh, buy when still firm; once they soften, they lose nutrients.

    02. Avocados
The Power: Oleic acid, an unsaturated fat that helps lower overall cholesterol and raise levels of HDL, plus a good dose of fiber. One slice has 81 calories, 8 grams of fat and 3 grams of fiber. Try a few slices instead of mayonnaise to dress up your next burger.

    03. Raspberries
The Power: Ellagic acid, which helps stall cancer-cell growth. These berries are also packed with vitamin C and are high in fiber, which helps prevent high cholesterol and heart disease. A cup has only 60 calories, 1 gram of fat and 8 grams of fiber. Top plain low-fat yogurt or oatmeal (another high fiber food) with fresh berries.

    04. Mango
The Power: A medium mango packs 57mg of vitamin C, almost your whole-recommended daily dose. This antioxidant helps prevent arthritis and boosts wound healing and your immune system. Mangoes also boast more than 8,000 IU of vitamin A (as beta-carotene). One mango has 135 calories, 1 gram of fat and 4 grams of fiber. Cut on up and serve it over leafy greens. Bonus: Your salad will taste like dessert!

    05. Cantaloupe
The Power: Vitamin C (117mg in half a melon, almost twice the recommended daily dose) and beta-carotene - both powerful antioxidants that help protect cells from free-radical damage. Plus, half a melon has 853mg of potassium - almost twice as much as a banana, which helps lower blood pressure. Half a melon has 97 calories, 1 gram of fat and 2 grams of fiber. Cut into cubes and freeze, then blend into an icy smoothie.

    06. Cranberry Juice
The Power: Helps fight bladder infections by preventing harmful bacteria from growing. A cup has 144 calories, 0 grams of fat and 0 fiber. Buy 100 percent juice concentrate and use it to spice up your daily H20 without adding sugar.

    07. Tomato
The Power: Lycopene, one of the strongest carotenoids, acts as an antioxidant. Research shows that tomatoes may cut the risk of bladder, stomach and colon cancers in half if eaten daily. A tomato has 26 calories, 0 fat and 1 gram of fiber. Drizzle fresh slices with olive oil, because lycopene is best absorbed when eaten with a little fat.

    08. Raisins
The Power: These little gems are a great source of iron, which helps the blood transport oxygen and which many women are short on. A half-cup has 218 calories, 0 fat and 3 grams of fiber. Sprinkle raisins on your morning oatmeal or bran cereal - women, consider this especially during your period.

    09. Figs
The Power: A good source of potassium and fiber, figs also contain vitamin B6, which is responsible for producing mood-boosting serotonin, lowering cholesterol and preventing water retention. Fresh figs are delicious simmered alongside a pork tenderloin and the dried variety make a great portable gym snack.

    10. Lemons/Limes
The Power: Limonene, furocoumarins and vitamin C, all of which help prevent cancer. A wedge has 2 calories, 0 fat and 0 fiber. Buy a few of each and squeeze over salads, fish, beans and vegetables for fat free flavor.

    VEGETABLES

    11. Onions
The Power: Quercetin is one of the most powerful flavonoids (natural plant antioxidants). Studies show it helps protect against cancer. One medium artichoke has 60 calories, 0 fat and 7 grams of fiber. Steam over boiling water for 30 to 40 minutes. Squeeze lemon juice on top, then pluck the leaves off with your fingers and use your teeth to scrape off the rich-tasting skin. When you get to the heart, you have found the best part!

    13. Ginger
The Power: Gingerols may help reduce queasiness; other compounds may help ward off migraines and arthritis pain by blocking inflammation-causing prostaglandins. A teaspoon of fresh gingerroot has only 1 calorie, 0 fat and 0 fiber. Peel the tough brown skin and slice or grate into a stir-fry.

    14. Broccoli
The Power: Indole-3-carbinol and sulforaphane, which help protect against breast cancer. Broccoli also has lots of vitamin C and beta-carotene. Add raw leaves to a salad or sauté with a little olive oil and garlic.

    16. Bok Choy (Chinese cabbage)
The Power: Brassinin, which some research suggests may help prevent breast tumors, plus indoles and isothiocyanates, which lower levels of estrogen, make this vegetable a double-barreled weapon against breast cancer. A cup will also give you 158mg of calcium (16 percent of your daily recommended requirement) to help beat osteoporosis. A cup (cooked) has 20 calories, 0 fat and 3 grams of fiber. When ever I carry him, his hand will grab my spec. He started to get interested in all objects, throw and pick them up and always try to get whatever he saw.

During my cooking time, he will station in kitchen with me. Even if I push him out he will come back again. He will go to my onion, garlic and potatoes basket and try to mess with it. Luckily when I shout 'No' he will take his hand off. Jump in front of the fridge try to get the fridge magnet. He even block my way to get in and out of wet and dry kitchen...

Put him in the bed or swing, he still continue to play or sometime cry and make fussy when I try to make him sleep. So, since not taking much sleep at daytime, suppose he can sleep earlier, but he still sleep at 12am-1am. Help me! how to get him to his bed earlier?

    Blogger mummy gathering

Baby Darren's mummy suggested to have a small meeting up with a few mommy bloggers who have baby the same age on one of the weekend as we decided. Purpose is to share and exchange experience we have, since all babies are almost the same day old. Now, we suggested to have it on the following Sunday in Mid Valley and time set around afternoon, yet to be comfirm. I'm looking forward to meeting up with them together with Terry. Most of the time, I only share my baby story and experience with 1 or 2 friends who have baby on the phone, but not in a group like this. I think there should be fun with many babies around and a chit-chat section is on baby.

    Newly learn cook

I have try to cook yong tau fu dish by myself for a few times. Now I only the way master it. See, this is what I did last 2 nights dinner. I bought the fish filling for 300 grams at RM7.50 from wet market.
Before doing it, need to slightly mix around the filling, to get back the sticky feel. Of cause get ready the salt water while you doing it, as it will stick your hand or spoon. When it ready, just stuff it in to the vege you want to do. It can be, fu chuk, tau fu, tau fu bok, lady finger, bitter gourd, chilli, full boil eggs (cut egg in to half, throw away half of the yolk and stuff the filling in the hole), and etc..stuffing technique is very much in mastering it. Thats why I still can't do with tau fu yet. Now outside selling RM0.70 per pc.

Cooking part, hot boil oil, slightly fried the filling part only. Do not fried the whole piece. Remember just slightly fried, when it turns a bit yellowish, you can take it out. Next, put in garlic and a little bit tau chu sauce, fried it and add water. Put in all the yong tau fu piece and let the water ¾ cover it, braise it till it soft.

Tip:- For pieces which fast to get soft, like lady finger, put it in at last with others.

    Happy trying.

Hub: These 2 days we should go back to Ipoh, if I can get off of work earlier. *circle up date 15th & 16th, Chinese calendar nian 28&29 *

Me: So early? Cannot be, majority my relatives not yet back, and my uncle on business may not be free to put up with our arrival. 19th & 20th is the best time.

(Talk in loud, like almost talk in quarrel, Terry starts crying with ppl talk in loud)
Hub: If I end work early then should be 15th & 16th, else 19th & 20th, if I end work late. I want to go earlier, since you so want to go back. You everyday just stay at home, nothing for you. I have to drive all the way, and your place not go and back on the same day. You think only visit your own relatives, I also want to visit my relatives on 20th onwards in a few days. Go back early can avoid traffic jam. I don't want everything put on last minute.

Me: When u… *not able to finish my sentence yet *

    (Continue in high tone)
Hub: I plan like that means like that. In-law family so important ah? My relatives only open for visits on 20th onwards. You must follow my plan, don’t talk so much here, not you plan for it. You must follow what I plan. Consider whose importance, ha! You think just to follow your convenience?

(I look at him in straight in eye, try to remain calm)
Me: Can you let me talk and open up to discuss it? Now want to quarrel is it? People not free to serve us before 17th. Go back also no meaning, can’t see everybody at once. Give things to relatives also not convenient. Why not back on 19th morning, stay for a night and back on 20th morning, since you said yours on 20th onwards, we reach KL at noon on 20th and continue visit all your relatives. It is just nice. When you restart your working day?

Hub: That you don’t care, may be early. Now you have to follow my plan, don't talk so much ok? 18th go back to my house, then your uncle house, then back my house again.

Is this a big man saying? Always have he say, I got no right to do any planning and suggestion. Wondering what’s my position at this home? At time I just feel like a slave.

    Cousins visit

Since today is Thaipusam and Wilayah day, KL and PJ is on holiday. Afternoon Terry's 2 biu yi yi, biu yi jiong, yi po and cousins from Ipoh came to visit him. One of the biu yi yi first time see him. Ohh... she loves hugging him. This biu yi yi since married no baby yet, and she loves baby a lot. Luckily Terry not cry and refuse when this first time biu yi yi carry him. Normally stranger carry him, he will like wanted to cry out.

Terry began to play with biu yi yi and keep on look around for so many ppl in the house. Then, I placed him in the walker and he runs about. He kept on running to cousin bro, Dickson and like want to play with him. But this small bro (about 4 yrs old) don't know how to play with him, so he just look at him. Terry is so excited in the walker and with ppls around him.

When times to eat, biu yi yi help me to feed him and keep on praising him, he is very good and fast in eating. (yes, he finish up food in less than 25 minutes). We all chit-chat with other and they just stay for 2 hours then they went to shopping. My mum stayed back for awhile at my place after they go. We have lunch and chit-chat for another 2 hours.

Ohh..today I got 2 offer sto complete before times up. *hurry up*

    Something about Terry

Look at this pic, does he look like 1 year old boy? Since he was 7 months old, some have seen him told me that he looks like 1 year old than his actual age. Since born, I don't find Terry have the chubby fat cute baby look, he more to mature looking. At times when compare with those 1 year old boy, Terry is just look like their age..haha...really grow fast..
Now, he just pass through his 8 teething stage. He no more "lau gei". Whenever stomach full, place him in anywhere he won't make noise, and he can play by himself. Unlike if he is tired then he will cry for sarong, or sometime can just fall asleep at where he plays. If he is nothing, I try not to carry too much at home, to prevent he develop a carry habit from me. You see, I so slim, he is getting heavier and heavier, frankly I can't carry him for more than 15 minutes now. Most of the time, I carry with by sitting down.
Baby vomit or throw out is normal for them. There was once when I carry him out from sarong and I lied down and place him on my stomach area to play with him. Then, I intend to kiss him, so I bend my hand to let his lip touch me, who know he VOMIT into my mouth and over my shirt too. Yikess..!! I really feel puke! the throw out is in my mouth, and it taste sour!! Faster I place him down and I wash my mouth with lots of water, even after the wash I still feel like want to throw out.
These are some of our memoirs.
