Scrapbook Quick Page designed by KathrynMhire

It was our 2nd time having a meet up with blogger's friends. This round with Mummy Gwen and also Mummy Moon, apparently was my good friend since secondary school cum mummy blogger now. Since we known the same group of blogger mum, we wish to meet them up personally.

We late to for the meet up due to Yan Yan not feeling well on the way. She had a bad cough and thrown up in the car. We met at IOI Mall and had our lunch at Kenny Rogers. It was a real quick meet up for all of us, as seeing Yan getting more and more uncomfortable throughout the eating time, we not really got chance to chat and stayed on longer. Thanks Mummy Moon for the lovely meet-up gift.

Gwen is such a sweetie-pie and not shy to all the new faces she first met. She is a bubbly girl too through the way she talks and smiles. So do her mummy, a pretty and soft spoken mum. We will organise a Christmas meet up pretty soon and hope it is a fun one for all of us.

That's our day!

It was sooo long since the last we 3 go out together. Finally, on Monday we got the time and we spend our day out of the house for the good 5 hours at Mid Valley. We just want to bring Terry out of the house as he has not been to anywhere except back to hospital for check up.

He is extremely bored at home (actually me too). Everyday evening is raining - can't go out to park or else the big hot sun hanging up the sky - he can't go under sunlight. On Sunday, happen my parents and aunt visit us, when they leave the house, he looks so dissappointed after waved bye-bye to them. He kept pointing the door, whining and want to wear shoe go out. Oh boy, so pity for not bringing you out. So, for not letting him down, the next day we got brought him out to walk walk no matter how.

We out the house around 11am and easily get a parking too when we reach. We only eat, window shop and bring Terry for all kid's ride in Jusco.

Terry was having the sidelines - rice, baked bean, mash potatoes and muffin. He was all the way "uummm" means taste good la...But to me it was getting bad each time. It was like more than 10 years ago, every Friday I went down to KL Kasturi for tuition. Me and my bunch of classmates for sure no fail will go for Kenny Rogers at Kota Raya before our class. During that time, it was all really good and tasty. Too bad, now I can't find back the taste.

We proceed to window shop for toys. I was so afraid the boy will going to hold on one toy (especially those Thomas), refuse to let go and later may be cry and create havoc. Luckily he was not, when I try to distract him by saying Thomas is there, more here and etc..he will put down the toy and let me hold his hand and go. We then went into Jusco for all kid's ride. He was good too, not stick to one ride after it stop and co-operate when we want to go.

Photobucket

After the ride and all, he was tired to walk. Daddy carry him and we proceed to The Gardens. He refused to walk too when we were there and wants me to carry. So I did, carry him walking up and down The Gardens till he falls asleep on my shoulder.

Since he slept we can't walk for longer too. The boy refused daddy to carry, he cried when I passed him to daddy. Walk back to Mid Valley, feel hungry already. We have our late lunch at Madam Kwan's. Hubby ask for Fish and Chips and I have this -

Nasi Bojari

My first time here. It was good, the portion is big, see the drumstick..very satisfied. This plate makes me full till 9pm. Terry was still sleep on me while I'm eating. Back home my whole body ache after carrying the boy walk in the mall. Took a quick shower and catch a nice nap. Dinner time I cook again, but I have it late.

Thats was how we spend our day. See, things around are expansive, just eat without shop already damage RM100+. Really hard to afford to go shopping and eat out every week.

Terry at 27 months old

Very long didn't update Terry's growing progress. Reaching his big 2 also mark another great milestone for more learning and explosure on speech and expression. He has not been having a good start ahead on his 2 years old as the accident hits. Till today, everyday we still have a terrible struggle time when comes to apply oil. He will cry his lungs out with saliva and mucus all follow to come.

Every single day when I showered him, take off his cloth and saw those burns area, I so hate of myself and I still feel extremely heart-ache and sad. He only allows me to touch him and watch those areas. He not allows other ppl to check him.

Skin
A little bit update on his skin condition. The last check up (14/8) shows that the back wound is fully recover with skin, but the scar is very thick there. Doc said that he is very good luck can recover as he mention to us he needs another round of skin graft on the wound. Now the check up appointment is 1 month apart and not weekly. Those red parts are turning into white bit by bit. Deep red area are still in red.

Every night before he sleep or even nap, he will like to put his hand at the back to scratch or pull down the pressure sock on his arm to scratch. If I move his hand away, he will hold my hand and put on the part where he wants me to scratch with assigned pattern and strength he wants. Of cause it is better I help him to scratch. I will scratch softly on him rather than he scratch it hard. If I refuse to do that, he will cry and kick. He did have oval medicine for itchy, but I don't think it works on him. It more like a habit for him to scratch for 5-10 minutes before sleep. Or may be he is really itchy due to the skin tearing. No other itchy cream for him other than the wound cream. All we do now is to apply olive oil. During the daytime he won't scratch, just when sleep and nap. At night, I will put on booties on his both hand (mitten too small), so that he won't scratch it hard and file his nail very often.

Arm will still need to wear a pressure sock for a period of 6 months or more.

Doc advise not go under sun yet.

Speech
He is now a talkative boy, but still in his baby world language. He can express it in very long like he has lots to tell at one go with hand action somemore. But, we don't understand what he trying to say, and all we do is respond with a Yes or OK to him...He can repeat lots of words after me. Whatever I want him to say/ read and he can't pronounce or say it accurate, he will say in his own words/ sounds. Sometime I really laugh at it..so funny. He speaks contenese, mandrin and English. Some example:-

Television (TV) - Vee
Oval - Ha-wu
Octogan - Jer-gen
Train - Phane
Car - Tar
Jet - Jek
Taxi - Hat-xi
Truck - Thuckh
Butterfly - Bar-five
放 (fàng) - Ham

His name (Terry Pang Chee Hing):
Terry - Hel-leh
Pang - Pam
Hing - Hin
Mandrin can pronounce accurately.

Some words that he can say accurately and clear like Bye-see you, Where, More, Wet, Sun, Moon, Bike, Boat, Outside, Inside, 要 (yào), 还有 (háiyǒu) and some others more..For alphabet he is missing G, H, I, J, M, S, W and X. Officially can address me Mummy at 26 months old. Sometime he mix up, he go call popo as mummy.

First word in the morning, once his eye open, he will say "nen-nen".

Eating pattern and habits
Officially on rice soup, but still continue on porridge mainly on vege porridge as he has hard time chewing greens once he saw that in pieces, he will shake his head. Every week, I will prepare minced meat ball (Pork+chic, pork+fish or Chic+fish) and fish fillet. It is more easier for him to eat and I cook. On a bowl count, porridge he will eat 10 tablespoons and rice 5 table spoons with dishes. He will drink more soup which the soup have rich taste (cantonese say "sweet", which means with lots of ingredients) and the soup is cook long enough ("lou for thong").

Love bake beans and pearl pod peas very much, want it on every spoon feed.

Stop having prawns, eggs and dark soya sauces cooked food due to his skin condition.

He insists want a bowl when eating biscuit even it is 1 small piece.

Eat bread by finish the roasted side first, then pick the raisin and lastly eat the whites.

Nap 1 time for 1.5-2 hours. Poo-ed 2 times a day.

At night, normally stick to daddy. Sometimes I will try to sleep early, but daddy just can't settle him.

Whenever I'm using the lappy, he will come to me and say "phane, phane". He wants to watch Thomas videos.

Terry is now all back to his ownself and he can walk faster than me.

Christmas at Pavilion KL

Dong Zhi on Saturday went back to FIL's place to have dinner. We ate at 3.30pm (very early) as FIL and 2 SIL will be going to airport at 8pm. After dinner, we make a trip down to Pavilion KL. There I saw the real nice white Christmas decoration at the mall. My first time there and here is another big mall.

Taking the whole place of old Bukit Binatang School stretch till to the old Eden restaurant there. All shops are selling higher price range of things. We just window shop there. Right when we are at Concourse area to snap some pic with the white tree. This is how Terry looks like when he gazed up the drop down Christmas lighting. Then, we saw Santa Claus and Santarina on the stage and ppl are queuing up to take photo with them. So, we also went to snap from them. It only cost RM1 for a 4R size photo taken by a photographer there.

Scrapbook from Be Merry Quick Page

He almost cry out when Santa wanted to hold him, there later once I carry him with a sweet passed from the Santarina, he stop crying and the photographer quickly snap 1 take only. Luckily he not making big fuss there. He was very tired also since he only take 1 nap before out the house at 2pm. He walk and play a lot at FIL there and we are continue to shop somemore. No choice we got to borrow a stroller from Pavilion reception and let him sit.
He just too tired to make any move after we put him on the stroller. In about 10 minutes, he fall asleep. So, I got a peaceful mind to shop. Walk into a few shops for clothes and shoes. Nothing catchy to my eyes. Once Terry wakes, pack some foods then we back home.

Our first Blogger meet

Yesterday, finally me and my boy make our first blogger meet with Darren and The Blue Ranger. For mummies, after many times asking for a meet up, finally 3 of us make it for this round. We brought our kids to met at IOI mall, inside the Jusco Kid's Adventures mini playground. It is a wide and comfortable area for kids to play and run with 2 inflatable castles, slides, sea-saw and rocking animals with the wall and floor padded.

Right after my boy wakes for nap, immediatedly we went there. Thanks my mum drove us there and accompany me else without her I couldn't turn up. I'm 30 mins late to reach there. When I saw Darren and Ethan, quickly I bought the ticket and let my boy go in and join them. Don't know what happen my boy just very scared and quite relunctant to let off and go join them to play. I can see Darren and Ethan enjoy very much running, climbing and rocking. When put 3 of them together, Terry was like being scared or what, or those other elder kids playing there try to pull him. Needless to say, he was first time playing at this kind of playground. I can see that he is not used to it. So, he kept on cry and cry, but that easy to calm down after I carry him away and walk to other area.

Try to snap a good photo of 3 kids, but look at my boy...

I just accompany him around to play the slide and the mini house. All he likes is playing the mini house's window. He feel comfortable running around there only. May be he used to play before in paed there. It is hard to get 3 of them together and snap a good photo. An hour later, kids started to get tired. We proceed to A&W to have a quick drink and the kids have some waffles and biscuits.

Terry is dead tired and lazing in the stroller without making much move after we bid Good-Bye. May be too tired to make fuss too. We continue to shop a pair of shoe for my boy. Since he started to walk his feet grow bigger now. It is time to buy another new one. After browsing at Jusco shoe department, can't get any we like. Then, proceed to Bata and get a Bubble Gummer beeping sandal for him. Still Bata suit my taste with good quality and reasonable price.

On the way back, we packed our dinner and finally Terry fall asleep in the car. I feel tired too run and play with him. A happy Sunday for us.

17 months old

Check, check, check! Yesterday is my boy's 1.5 years old and now I'm just updating his 17th month progress *slap head* what am I doing since last update. I'm not forgetting it. Just slow down in everything lately, sorry my dear baby.

Here are some of his growing during 17 months old. That's lot of changes.

Weight: 12kg
Height: 83cm
Teeth: up 6, down 8

Dexterity
  • At 17 months and 2 weeks old, he officially walk unsupported.

  • He takes more than 1.5 months time to learn from standing unsupported till walking. Now he can walk everywhere. But once he fall from walking, he couldn't stand up unsupported yet from the point. He will crawl to the wall or table/chairs and hold to get up then continue again.
  • Walk with both hands up and very shaking.
  • Like to hold on his push car and walk together.
  • Can go up and down the push car by himself very well.
  • When he wants us to carry out from playpen or bed he will pull my both hands put under his arm.
  • Not using bath basin to bath anymore. Took shower by sitting on a small stool since before he able to walk. I just hold the shower head and spray. More fast and save water.
  • Can twist his both hands saying for no more or finish. Sometimes still use his old hand sign which is open and close palm.
  • Action he knows when we ask for - sneeze (a-cheow), ssshhh (ssshhh with index finger put in front of mouth), pat to sleep (pat his back).
  • Push away the chairs placed under the table, tip the toe and grab whatever he can reach on the table, especially food.
  • Able to chew more foods now like cake, biscuit, rice and bread. Think he almost ready to take rice like us.
  • Since he started to walk, I insist to make him poo in potty once in the morning. So far he not making any big fuss when put on potty. I afraid that if I'm not do so everyday to make it a habit, once he can walk really well, he will stand and walk away from potty. I just place him around the kitchen while I'm preparing porridge. When I'm done my kitchen stuff, he will done his business too. Without need to sit in front, wait him to poo and "ng-ng" at him now. At times during the daytime, he still poo in diapers. He doesn't know how to tell yet.
  • Can sleep throught the night without any wake now, not even slightly cry for water.
Emotions & Characters
  • Will try to bite if against him. Like he don't want me to carry and he bite my shoulder. So far only twice kena bite.
  • Will go real cry and fake cry for hard now. Very easy to get him crying whenever demand can't be fulfill. He will just cry non-stop until you give in.
  • Night sleep time is getting late and late after he can walk. Whenever he not ready to sleep and being put in baby cot he will cry out very hard to come down for a walk. Once he walks he smile again. The sleeping time now is 12am.
  • Will stay around the place where I am. He won't go bedroom if I'm in the kitchen. Just follow me in and out.
Language & Speech
  • His favorite baby language - "tik-ko" and "buu-bak" (the later one since before 12 months old).
  • Can pronounce "Sit" accurately. Bird as "bak". Park as "Pahk". Others not much. Call out Mama a lot, but not when I ask for it.
  • When he babbling, he will ends his word with a "huh". For example like we saying "what you want to eat today huh?"

Diet

  • Still eating porridge, 2 times a day.
  • Milk 3 times a day. 6-7 oz each or less depends what time he eat porridge between the milk time.
  • Snack - baby bites, fruits and yogurt.
  • Drink less water now. Only drink like cow after having milk. For other times only suck a mouth if he likes, but push away most of the time.
Interest

  • Open and close drawer, take things out, mess it and look see then put back, but not all. Then I will instruct him to put back and he will do that.
  • Push TV and audio on and off button. I got to off main suits whenever he is out from playpen. Also put up high the remote controller.
  • Pen and paper to sketch.
  • When I sleep on the floor, likes to step or squat on me. Sometimes just fall hard between my leg and lie on my chest. Sometimes tend to crawl to my face also, but I pull him down.
  • Like to ajak small kids to play run run with him and can mix in with kids now.
  • Try to show him some flash cards and read him the object name. He can listen to you for few minutes. The next he wants to hold the card and mess with it.
  • Once he watch something fierce, sound shouting in horror or dark, he will cry in frighten and loud. He don't like the cartoon "The Adventures of Little Brown Bear" (pic below currently a very short 6 mins interim cartoon) , he will just cry before the bear appears. Right from the trailer before the cartoon starts, he know that is the cartoon he scared of then his voice started to change. I got to quickly switch off the TV to avoid he get frighten every time.

Others

  • Wear XL size diapers.

Joel 1st birthday party

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Last Saturday went over to my uncle's house in Bangsar, celebrating my cousin sis's 2nd son - Joel 1st birthday. We reached there quite early at 5.30pm. Went with my parents only, hubby back late from work.

A clown was there to entertain the kids and small one. Time flies, I was posting his birth last year. Joel and family back from UK for 3 weeks long holidays. Next week they will back. The last round they were here was 3 years ago, when they are celebrating Jemery's (1st son) 1st birthday. My cousin are very happy to see many changes, especially the babies and those just got married.

The night the sky looks like going to rain. Luckily not, we prayed for no heavy rain. Nice buffet food was served. There were mutton, fry butter fish, green oyster, mushroom seacucumber, prawn, spicy sotong, chicken, seafood roll, kou-ci, fruits, ice kacang, wine and etc. I couldn't eat much, mostly spicy. But still have 2 rounds for myself. Terry was behaved super good. He sits beside me on the chair between me and my mum and stay quietly when both of us enjoyed the food for 2 rounds time. He occupied with some kid's party pack I gave him.

I started to discover my boy's real character. He particularly doesn't like any funny faces and yelling kids. When the clown goes near him and gave him the shaped balloon. He was not being scared by the clown and cried. He just wanted to crawl away or turn away his face. There was once at my parent's home, my cousin kids were there. 2 boys jumping on the sofa, yelling here and there and running in out. He got frighten and starts crying. Terry was kind of boy who doesn't like noisy and not actively take his steps to socialized with other kids. He won't sit in the center with a few kids to play, he will move aside to some corner and play. Overall he is just a quiet and "xi men" boy. He not like being in many, he looks more active when having less people around. Wondering when he grows up will be like that.

Ah..where about I talked until. Back to the party. After the cake cutting, we left about 8.30pm. Even my boy showing his tired look, but he still ok and quietly stay with me. Reach home, bath him and feed him porridge before sleep. He still keep his bedtime at 11.30pm, even he is tired after party.

That's our weekend.

William's birthday party + visits

Last Friday, one of my church youngster - William celebrated his 21st birthday. Since couldn't get to buy his gift before the day, so on Friday noon make a trip to Mid Valley to bought the gift.

Many of times want to pay a visit back to my ex-company, but all the while when I was there is either at night or weekend. So, that day since it still office hour, might as well take the chance back for a visit after shop for gift. Everybody so happy to see me and of cause Terry, some want to see him in person, as all the time I shared photo with them only. Terry boy behave well, a bit shy when ppl want to hug him and once pass to my colleague, straightaway cry for mummy. He still ok when ppl touch him and play with him. When I carry him, he is smile and talking there. Everybody loves to play with him and praise him handsome and tall.

Stay there for 45 mins then I left. "Big head prawn" me (hahaha...) I passed my driving license to get a visitor pass to visit office. Too rush when going back that time I totally forgot to took back. Left my license there overnight. Luckily there are member who work there, Chris help me to get back the next day.

During the morning, I was telling Terry to take nap then later go kai kai. I don't know why he just couldn't sleep for the whole morning as usual. Not sure whether is he know that we are going to kai kai and refuse to sleep. Somehow, after lunch he looks tired, he straightaway fall asleep when I placed him back to his cot. Slept for 1 hours+, my dad pick me up to the mall. He not sleepy until the 2nd feed at 5.30pm the time when we went home, he slept all the way back home in the car.

Attend the birthday party at night, good food and nice environment. Terry all night "mum-mum" non-stop. We back around 9ish, after change and last feed, he fall asleep immediatedly.

Solid: Fish + vege porridge / 2 times per day
Water: 7-8oz per day

1) Growing up as a toddler now, he can sit longer to play his toy or watching TV.

2) Holding up to stand and only able to walk within playpen/cot. When holding up at sofa or chairs he feel scare to make him steps. Hold to stand to where we are sitting now.

3) Able to do some simple actions.
  • Pai pai shou - clap his hand
  • Bye-bye - wave hand up and down
  • Dancing - will shake his body
  • Gieng-gieng (scared) - pat on chest
  • Tou, bi zhi, er duo (head, nose, ear) - pat on head, ear and nose

  • Give, thank you (with your palm open up) - he will loose his finger and put the things he hold on your palm
4) More on his baby language. Able to call out "ma", "mum-mum" and most of the time "pa" a lot now. When want your attention, except from crying, occasionally he will "uh-uh", "beh" or "wei".

5) More responsive now, whenever we talk to him or watching cartoon, he will laugh or smile when having funny music or action. Sometime, "eehh -akk-ekk" like responding to you.

6) Know the correct way of playing toys.

7) Ask him, where is the toys or things I normal shown him, he will look or point to the place.

8) Milk time, ask him to lie down, he will lie. Gave him the bottle and he will hold and wallop till finish. Meantime, I can do some quick work, like going to wash room. After finish, he put away the bottle then I hand him some water. Everything finish, he will wake up and burp himself. Very fast and easy now.

9) Bath time, very naughty, keep on want to turn here and there to play, sometime really hard to catch him to lie quietly.

10) When go out to eat, no longer bring stroller, let him sit on high chair. Unless go shopping then need to bring stroller, is quite handy to carry for a lil bit longer now.

To my darling boy, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO YOU! May you continue stay healthy, happy and blessed with love of God. The whole party turn out well and everyone is hugging their full tummy back. Some not able to turn up and at the end of the party, the late comer got chance to pack the food. I only take a small portion. During the party, too busy with the guest and didn't really taste all the food.

A lot of pressie for Terry, mainly is toy and he enjoy playing with all kids. The whole morning he is not taking any nap until the party ends at 3.30pm. Eventhough he is tired, but he is not cranky there. I even bring down the playpen for him to sleep, but end up he not use for it. Cake cutting at around 2pm, everyone sing 'Happy Birthday' to Terry and he happy to see kids all stand in front of him and he began to clap his hand! The Snoopy cake is a orange butter cake. Taste nice! everything is clear up, only reserve the Snoopy house (cake) for ourself.

Everything ends at 4pm, before clearing up the hall, bring the birthday boy back to his sweet cot and he immediatedly doze off less than 10 minutes and slept for 3 hours. Thanks for my family in helping for the party. To the guest, thanks for sparing your time attended the party, your gifts and wishes.

10 months old

Weight: 9.48 kg (as at 7th March)

1. Having lots of his baby language. Whenever I talk to him, he will concerntrate listen and look at me talking to him, then when I stop he will response me with his language.

2. Run exrtremely fast in walker, almost follow me where I go in the house. He is using the highest height of the walker. Sometime I almost fell when he block my way and come hit my leg. In walker, like to hit the chairs and doors, then pull the chair and bang it to the glass table. Whenever I saw him doing that, I will hit his hand, now after few times I warn him and hit, he dare not to do that much once I shout "No". He crawl not that fast yet, also follow me where I go.

3. When saw something new to him, he dare not grab it immediatedly. He will look at me first (scared I scold) then he will touch it softly and point point it with finger first. After when I hold his hand to touch it then only he will take it.

4. Lazy to sit, but still can't sit for long and easy to fall aside, not having much balancing yet. Stand not more than 1 minute, can't hold on things and stand.

5. When I say "bye-bye" he will wave his hand (wave like the prosperity cat "jiu choi mao" hand). Do only when sometime he excited and happy he will do more.

6. Call "mum-mum" clearly when want to eat.

7. He can straighten his arm when stomach lie, and stretch his head up to. Hand can hold the bed side, but couldn't stretch up half of his body yet.

8. Day nap 2-3 times, per nap 2-3 hours. Try not to let him have evening nap, as to train him to sleep earlier. After the previous sick his sleeping time is change earlier to 1-2 hours now. Without evening nap, he will sleep between 10.30pm-11.30pm.

9. Like to throw things out from his cot, and keep on looking at the toy he throw out.

10. 6oz milk 3-4 times a day. Water amount almost the same. Sometimes need midnight feed. 2 times solid. Fish porridge as based and 2 types of vege. Seldom have fruits. No fingers food or teething biscuit. Once or twice a week having Barli drink. Whenever he saw us eating he sure want it, once we didn't give he will shouting and make fake crying there. So, I will give him a bit rice, or whatever those he can eat.

11. Seldom sleep in sarong and no bouncing net now. Place him in playpen. Previously we put him down bottom in the playpen, he refuse to stay there. Now, I clip back the bedding top and let him play and sleep there, he is more ok with it. Once I see him tired with walker or crawling, I will place him there, then he will continue play or bite there until he get tired himself and he will sleep. No more to pat him to sleep like in sarong. Most of the time he will sleep by himself now day and night.

12. Wear cloth size for 1 year old now.

So, the above scrapbook, first one, finally done after so long. I'm not so satisfied with this piece of work...will try to improved it when having more elements and backgrounds and get more ideas of placing the elements.
