Are you addicted to Internet ?

You Are 52% Addicted to the Internet

You're somewhat addicted to the internet - but who isn't?
You can keep it under check, and you're by no means a hermit.

I thought having a bit higher than 52%, cause everyday most of my time is in front of computer. Check mail, blogging and MSN are the most I did. During daytime I spend more time on the computer, towards late afternoon till night I won't on my computer, unless important things need to do. Somehow Internet and computer not my very main thing in life, but now with paid post plays in, really can't live without it!

A cure for coughing

Just went to see doctor again for my bad cough last night. At this critical time, I received an easy methods to cure coughing saying this:-

Don't laugh, it works 100% of the time although the scientists at the Canada Research council (who discovered it) aren't sure why.

To stop nighttime coughing in a child (or adult as we found out personally), put Vicks Vaporub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime then cover with socks. Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in about 5 minutes and stay stopped for many, many houses of relief. Works 100% of the time and is more effective in children than even very strong prescription cough medicines. In addition, it is extremely soothing and comforting and they will sleep soundly.

The head of the Canada Research Council described these findings on the part of their scientists when they were investigating the effectiveness and usage of prescription cough medicines in children as compared to alternative therapies like acupressure. Cough medicines for kids often do more harm than good due to the chemical makeup of these strong drugs. It was a surprising finding and found to be more effective than prescribed medicines for children at bedtime, and in addition, to have a soothing and calming effect on sick children who then went on to sleep soundly.

Someone who tried it said it felt like a warm blanket enveloped her, the coughing stopped in a few minutes and this was a deep, (incredibly annoying!) every few seconds, uncontrollable cough, plus she slept cough free for hours every night that she used it.

So, if you have grandchildren, pass it on. If you end up sick, try it yourself and you will be absolutely amazed by the effect.

Lonesome 6

Last night hubby took midnight flight to Shanghai starting his 6D4N trip, left me and Terry at home. I still very sick with cough till last night. I hardly sleep 4 hours due to terrible cough back again.

So hubby away, I got to stay alone in the house for at least another 3 days long before the weekend. Damn boring, and hard to cook with only myself eating. I'm not planning what to do like shopping or meeting friends, just no mood in doing anything in sick mode.

Supposed yesterday turns better. Don't know is it cause of drinking the soup cooked with chicken, midnight I cough till cannot sleep and go pop the cough syrup again. Really can't take it, cough till tears drop, short breath, nose block and pain in abdomen. See whatelse I can eat later. My throat really in pain after coughing too much.

Yeah about my coming Japan trip, it has been cancel. A bit sad, hopefully can go somewhere else before HK trip.

Knock-out name for baby girl

I was browsing over Yahoo! News and found this interesting one, a baby girl name Autumn Brown, carried 25 middle names. Lets read the full report.

The hand of a newborn baby. Baby Autumn Brown has a name to live up...

LONDON (AFP) - Baby Autumn Brown has a name to live up - in fact she has over 25 of them.

The little girl's mother Maria, in keeping with her boxing-mad family's bizarre tradition, decided to give her 25 middle names - all culled from the greatest exponents inside the ring.

Her full name, which left register office staff in Perton, Wolverhampton reeling is: Autumn Sullivan Corbett Fitzsimmons Jeffries Hart Burns Johnson Willard Dempsey Tunney Schmeling Sharkey Carnera Baer Braddock Louis Charles Walcott Marciano Patterson Johansson Liston Clay Frazier Foreman Brown.

Maria told the city's Express and Star: "The whole thing came about because both my mum and dad are obsessed with boxing and have a bit of a daft sense of humour.

"When I was young I couldn't ever remember my name. It took me to the age of 10 to memorise it all."

The 33-year-old mother added: "I'm hoping Autumn has a good sense of humour with her name. It's never done me any harm though."

Photo print on canvas

I still remember I have a task not yet complete during my boy's 1st birthday, that is to make a photo frame up with his first 12 months growth using scrapbook material. After found out that scrapbook material is kind of expensive, and I'm not good using it, so at the end didn't buy it. Now, I'm going to scrap it in computer and print it out. The most I worried is the print result, the color we used might not print as what we see in computer.

Since now having Canvas on Demand, I can send the scrapbook to them to do the photo enlargement and get it print in the size of 16x20 for free as an acknowlegment. Currently I'm still adjusting the scrapbook work here and there before get it print on canvas. Can't wait for it, this canvas gonna hang up on the hall. Later I will share with you the result of this canvas print. Stay tune!

Finding that gem of a babysitter

While some new mums can count on help from their parents or in-laws, many have to resort sending their babies to babysitters. Here are some ways help you along:

  1. Talk to friends, family members or neighbours and get recommnedations. They may be able to point you to the right direction.
  2. Once on the job, does she offer you feedback about how the day went with your baby?
  3. Experience makes better babysitters. Ask for a resume, it can be simple chat about her past working experience, how long she's been babysitting or of she has children of her own.
  4. Does she have references from happy parents?
  5. Does she have her own toys and books to play and read to your baby? Good babysitters go that extra mile by spending a little money to keep baby occupied.
  6. How does she handles about the caring of your baby? For example, what kind of snacks/food allowed, if your baby is allowed to be taken out and where, etc.
  7. Meet the babysitter and check out the environment. Is there a suitable place for your baby to nap? Is the place baby-friendly?
  8. Does she finish all her babysitting duties on time? Is your baby fed, bathed etc by the time you come to pick her up? Being punctual is a good indicator of a responsible person.
  9. It would be a big plus if she was trained in or at least know a little about first-aid.
  10. Does she ask relevant questions about your child? Questions about your child's habits and personality are good signs that the sitter genuinly cares for your child.
  11. Does the babysitter exude warmth and friendliness? Is she positive? An engaging personality is a good clue that she'll be fun with your child as well.
  12. Last but not least, go with your gut feelings. If it doesn't feel right, then don't push ahead.

Cough, cough, cough

Last week, after my birthday, first thing I got was I fall sick. Actually in the past week I already feel something not right, like easy to get tired. That day, I just own medicate myself, somehow able to get through it. But last week, I fail totally. First, I got soar throat, so I just bought some throat sweet for soothing and drink lots of water.

Who knows the next morning, I feel very very sick, throat getting more pain, head-ache, bone ache, fever, heart beat increase, sweating, body feel no energy, all come suddently. Went to see doctor finally and get some not-so-strong medicines. After take the course, fever all gone and left soar throat still recovering slow. The next episode is cough causing by the soar throat.

Starting from last Thursday till today, everyday I was cough and cough non-stop, till my tear drop, flu, almost vomit and wet my pant. I didn't back to doctor again. My mum bought me some chinese ingredient to boil water for soothing lungs and cough. After took that for 2 days, feel much better, but stilll cough on and off once for very strong one. Very terrible. Also worried that I passed the virus to Terry. Luckily till today he was ok, the thing is he will cry when I cough, scare of my coughing noise at night.

Today still coughing, wanted to boil the ingredient, but left out something, so not cooking it today. I've bought the coughing syrup, hope this is the final one I take to relieve my cough.

A very H@ppy BiRtHd@Y to ME!

Today is my birthday, in between Father's day and Dumpling day. Together in a row, everyday is a reason to celebrate. Last year today was a triple celebration, first time with baby boy.

Today feel nothing special, like a normal day to me. No one verbally wishes me 'Happy Birthday' yet. The first one in the morning wishes me from Amilia in MSN, then follow by some SMSes from friends. Later discover that a tag line in MSN as "Happy Birthday to ME!" blogger mummy - Jacelyn also sharing the same date with me. You know, not many someone you know who having the same year, same month and same day birthday with you. So far I only know Alex from Via Comm having all same with me.

During the past years birthday, if happen on working day, work not tied up I will apply leave as a way to pampered myself. If happen to be at work, it is not a boring day too. Friends, colleagues treat on meals, cards and pressie for me. I still remember all my birthday celebration during dating times. Really miss those single day's life when having birthday, cut cake at least 3 times and hoo-ha with lots of friends.

So, before I can whisper my wishes in front of any cake, just make some wishes to the air, hopefully in coming years all this can come true.
  • Learn to drive again - have not been drive frequent since 3 years ago. Skill karat liow.
  • A more healthy body and soul - eat properly, take supplements (E.Excel, Elken or Amway?) and more exercise (hopefully can enroll back to gym.) and read more books and Bible
  • Learn to make Sushi - waiting to get all the materials
  • Do better for being a wife/mother/daughter/sister/DIL/cousin/ friend - sometime I still think I bad in some area
  • Contented myself as a SAHM - learn more things be it for child education, blogging, cooking and etc.
  • Body shape back to what I wish for - can fit back my gown and most dresses
  • 1st kiss from Terry - haha...like that also can...he haven't know how to do it yet.

Sounds nothing in material yet hor?
  • Starbucks Banana cream coffee
  • Tiramisu cake
  • Spa treatment/massage
  • Brand new set of facial product
  • Gucci bag
  • Blender - a great kitchen helper

Basically thats about it. Most important is to live everyday meaningfully and happy. Thanks to all who get to wishes me this morning, I'm happy as you can remember my BIG d@y.

Happy Father's Day

Last Saturday night went for Father's day dinner at Restaurant Pik Wah with Pang Association members, also the celebration are in conjunction with 52nd anniversary and issue of scholarship to Pang's student. Reach there a bit late, after President (my FIL) finish his speech, as Terry was taking evening nap till 7.10pm + raining and slow traffic.

That night the restaurant is full house, no place for walk in guest. The hall having another wedding dinner on too. Makes the whole environment are bustling. Terry non stop looking around with colourful light twisting when the bride match in and staring kids running around at the stage.

8 course simple dish, big portion and tasty. This restaurant although is old fashion and no high class renovation, perhaps when full house it is really cramp. But they wins with their tasty table dish and reasonable charges, thats why they still can survive till today.

No luck to get any lucky draw prize. Those prizes are all mostly sponsors by members. They are cash prizes, electrical products, vouchers, handphone and hampers. Everything ends around 10.30pm. Brandon not feeling well, still on medicines. For myself, the last few days also feeling uneasy. Not went for doctor, just own cure with chinese capsule. Now ok already.

Sunday, me and Terry went to church, left hub at home, since he not feeling well. At night, have dinner out with my family before heading home. Here, wishes all first-time dad, dad for many years, grandfather, great-grand-father, blogger Daddy a very

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

May you continue to stay healthy and be the good father who faithfully support the family and covers everyone in the home with warm, loves and laughters.

How to stop or avoid flu?

Just in case you accidentally catch cold or flu, here having a secret tips to help you stop before getting serious. Somehow, no harm trying. If not getting better can still go seek advise from doctor.

If you start to feel running nose, sneeze, a bit head ache, thats the sign you are going to get cold or flu.

  1. Quickly drink 2-3 glasses HOT water (as hot as you can take, cannot be in COLD), wait for 3-5 minutes later, make a coffee. Can be any type of coffee, a 3-in-1 coffee is the most convenient one. If don't have, coffee in can also no problem. But, must be drink in HOT (no ice!)
  2. 20-30 minutes later, the water and coffee you took will make you feel want to wee (go toilet urine). Now, the miracle happen, your running nose, sneeze and head ache is slowly recover/ getting better.

Want to know why is this so helpful?

  1. Coffee can make you get urine frequently, plus the water you drink, is help your body to clear and wash away the the virus invade and breed.
  2. Coffee can makes you awake and improve your low immunue system, as a part of the virus is wash away through urine, your immune will slow gain back, therefore your flu is getting better.

Hope this help.

Blogging hits

Since mid of February till today doing on PPP, I successfully hit the first 100th posts with earning of $727. Quite happy about it, also with other paid post site here and there around 50 posts I have done so far.

For posting in this blog, not long ago just hitting the total of 500 posts. Consider very slow progress since September 2004 started this blog. If not putting paid post here, think it fills up more slow. Last time when first start to do blogging, only a few blogger visits. Those are ppl who also writing blog. I treat blog as a journal or diary last time, seldom invite close friends or friends to visit. Like a bit scared to reveal too much of myself.

Later after exploring more starting to know that, blog means share thoughts and feelings, put on things that I afraid to say out loud or get things to put down as memories. I started to expose more on blogging and blog hop during my days of pregnant. By reading many mummies, babies and kids story I started to open up with more topics to jot down. Up to today I have linked up with many mummies out there. We shared each other stories through blog and from there have make some friends. I find mummy blogs are more informative and juicy to read than those who not married bloggers.

After get into blogging, I've actually learn a lot of things, not only plain in writing. Without blogging, my SAHM life will be dead bore. Since I have the knowledge in blogging and doing paid post, when someone stuck in blog or paid post I will help up to solve the problem, answer their question and give them some essential guide in setup and roll on. In some days, ppl help me and now I help others who need.

Sometimes this blog also work as a bridge to get back those long lost friend of mine who write blog too. Hopefully in later time, I can have more topic to drop, especially contribute more posts about my life moments. Lastly, thank you to all my current blog visitors (silence ones too) who love my blog and giving support through comments.

William's birthday party + visits

Last Friday, one of my church youngster - William celebrated his 21st birthday. Since couldn't get to buy his gift before the day, so on Friday noon make a trip to Mid Valley to bought the gift.

Many of times want to pay a visit back to my ex-company, but all the while when I was there is either at night or weekend. So, that day since it still office hour, might as well take the chance back for a visit after shop for gift. Everybody so happy to see me and of cause Terry, some want to see him in person, as all the time I shared photo with them only. Terry boy behave well, a bit shy when ppl want to hug him and once pass to my colleague, straightaway cry for mummy. He still ok when ppl touch him and play with him. When I carry him, he is smile and talking there. Everybody loves to play with him and praise him handsome and tall.

Stay there for 45 mins then I left. "Big head prawn" me (hahaha...) I passed my driving license to get a visitor pass to visit office. Too rush when going back that time I totally forgot to took back. Left my license there overnight. Luckily there are member who work there, Chris help me to get back the next day.

During the morning, I was telling Terry to take nap then later go kai kai. I don't know why he just couldn't sleep for the whole morning as usual. Not sure whether is he know that we are going to kai kai and refuse to sleep. Somehow, after lunch he looks tired, he straightaway fall asleep when I placed him back to his cot. Slept for 1 hours+, my dad pick me up to the mall. He not sleepy until the 2nd feed at 5.30pm the time when we went home, he slept all the way back home in the car.

Attend the birthday party at night, good food and nice environment. Terry all night "mum-mum" non-stop. We back around 9ish, after change and last feed, he fall asleep immediatedly.

Paid-post progress

Lately I can claim that doing paid-post from PayPerPost is not that easy as when I newly sign up. With the new upgrading of opps reservation time to 6 hours, it greatly hard to grab opps now compare to last time it is now more fast to opps finished taken. Topic offer is another reason, not much interested to write, but due to the attractive paid, crack brain also have to write. Everytime whenever I login, the opps page is very colourful now, it is fully in grey and red (grey-opps available, but fully reserved. Red-Not available). Only left those not so interested one are in white or green, some are reserved for selected countries postie. Really boring seeing that.

Since PPP not much in favour now, I go for Bloggerwave and Sponsored Reviews to find more offer. Bloggerwave, very quiet now, only 3 opps offered, nobody rebut with you. I'm still hang there, not yet start take for posting. For Sponsored Reviews, it plays different, you take the opps for bid. Advertiser will then concsider whether to accept your bid then only can start writing. So, there is some waiting time there before you can do the post. Currently bid for 6 only did 1 of it, others are in pending or got rejected. For Blogitive, lately the topic offers are keep on repeating. Yes, we can still write about it, but it kind of boring to repeat it for the same topic but different text link. For Blogsvertise there are offered, one month one offer, currently there are 2 tasks yet to complete.

As for the moment, all paid post site I'm just doing fairly, nothing surprise, therefore earning is slow down too.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Weight: 10.38kg
Height: 75.5cm
Head measurement: 48cm
Milk: 6-6.5oz / 3 times per day
Solid: Fish + vege porridge / 2 times per day
Water: 7-8oz per day

1) Growing up as a toddler now, he can sit longer to play his toy or watching TV.

2) Holding up to stand and only able to walk within playpen/cot. When holding up at sofa or chairs he feel scare to make him steps. Hold to stand to where we are sitting now.

3) Able to do some simple actions.
  • Pai pai shou - clap his hand
  • Bye-bye - wave hand up and down
  • Dancing - will shake his body
  • Gieng-gieng (scared) - pat on chest
  • Tou, bi zhi, er duo (head, nose, ear) - pat on head, ear and nose
  • Mei you (don't have) - open and close his finger
  • Give, thank you (with your palm open up) - he will loose his finger and put the things he hold on your palm

6) Know the correct way of playing toys.

7) Ask him, where is the toys or things I normal shown him, he will look or point to the place.

8) Milk time, ask him to lie down, he will lie. Gave him the bottle and he will hold and wallop till finish. Meantime, I can do some quick work, like going to wash room. After finish, he put away the bottle then I hand him some water. Everything finish, he will wake up and burp himself. Very fast and easy now.

9) Bath time, very naughty, keep on want to turn here and there to play, sometime really hard to catch him to lie quietly.

Ladies period caution

Took this from a forwarded email, some of you may have read it before. To me before and after PMS time I really quite particular. Like the mature time suppose to come, foods not be taken during the time and cleaniness. Lets see whats more from this message.

It has been a traditional theory that ladies are not supposed to wash their hair during their period. But there is no solution to the question why? The victim will only realise at their later stage of their life, facing the symptoms of breast and ovary cancer. Today ladies still wash their hair during their period with the thinking that they will be safe if they blow dries their hair. But this will not prevent them from getting the cancer. Please read the article below:

A well known Taiwanese medical professor specialise in cancer research based in a Japanese university did a survey on 30,000 per cancer patients. She found these patients are very choosy in their food, wash their hair during their period and carry heavy object and drink cold drinks. This will course the incomplete of ovulation and the remaining menses will turn into toxic and the imbalance of hormone will lead to ovary and breast cancer. During the research she found the method of prevention to these cancers. The secrets are:-

1) One must change their lifestyle and eating habits

2) Do not wash our hair while having period

3) Excessive bleeding must be investigated by a gynae, do not wash your hair just for the cooling effect and contraction of ovary.

4)No cold drinks if you feel drowsy, breast expansion and Constipation these are the early symptom of ovary or breast cancer.

To prevent use:-
1) Black sugar
2) Chinese lotus (leen ngau in Cantonese)
3) Carrot and
4) Barley

Boil to soup and drink. This is the best prevention.
For hair wash, at non-PMS day I wash it alternate day, and not wash only for the 1st day of PMS. Reason being the older said it caught "wind". After PMS, I will drink "pat zan" soup or "pak foong yun" to gain back to lost. The soup recommend above will try it out someday. Lately I try to improve my health more by drinking red dates water.
