8 months old

Throughout this few weeks, he grows rapidly, whereby now can see more of his ability. Especially on teething, now he is having 8 teeth, 4 up and 4 down. The upper row front teeth, the size is quite big and in wide as compared to the front down. Last few days a bit "lau gei" as I know he is not comfortable with the teething. His gum is swollen and red. His upper lip is very very dry until a bit bleeding, no matter how much water he drink. I assumed it must be his high body temperature on teething. He not down for fever *luckily*. All he want is just hug, so I just carry him whenever he cried for it. Some day he refused to take afternoon nap, so I just let him play in his baby cot.

He eat and drink as usual, 2 times solid and 3 times 6 oz milk. Sometime he did wake for midnight. Now, I gave more porridge then cereal and mash potatoes. Most of the time, he is having all fresh fish porridge and mix with 2-3 different type of vege. Seldom used anchovies now.

Every night he sleep at 12am, very hard to adjust his sleeping time even I put him to sleep earlier. He can sleep by himself now on the cot, but before he sleep, he will talk, laugh, play and turn there until he is tired of it then he will fall asleep. As long as he not cry, I just let him be.

In walker, he can run all by himself. Go everywhere in the house. Can't catch him now. He even follow me whenever I go in his walker. Hand grasp things when he saw it. When I eat, he will come by my lap, pat on me, mouth open or moving and show up his hand as like wan to grap my bowl. Very "wai sek" boy..hehe...

He able to sit by himself now for a while. When he want to get his toy in far, he will move his body, and the leg go like crawling. When he is hungry, I asked him what he want, he will answer me "mum mum...". Tested on this a few times and it is not by coincident, he able to call it out. When I said "pai pai shou" (clap clap hand) he will pat his palm on my hand or pat on his lap (sometimes do it only). Likes to knock on things, like he will knock between 2 toys he is holding or knock on the floor.

When we talk loudly or sounds like scolding to him, he will cry. He will push away things when he don't like / don't want. Throw things too...like when I holding on the handkerchief to burp him, he will grap it and throw. urrhh..very soon I need to get more closed looking after him as he start getting more and more active. When he start crawling around, I don't know whether I still able to cook or blog like now...Some clips on what he knows. Skin problem

Since last Friday, my right arm near the ankle area pop up these thing. 2 patch on my arm. Pic shown is a smaller patch, another one patch bigger. At first, it just like a normal mosquitoes bites, wide red patch and a bit pop. So, I applied some balm and cream on it first see it will turn better. But, later at night checked, it becomes more red and the pop up part is flat but with water inside. So, this must not be mosquitoes bites. I suspect it is either insect bites or skin problem. It not itchy or pain..really bothering me now.

This morning checked it, the water part is popping up, it has a little bit tiring pain. So, I can now confirm these must be skin problem/irritation. I don't know what cream to apply. Just spray on some ditoxin purified water (Cell Food) first, which I name it "magical water". Hope can soothe it. Else, if still remain or getting worst will seek advice from skin specialist.

With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old woman was able to give birth to a baby.When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, her relatives came to visit.

"May we see the new baby?" one asked.

Recalling my childhood

Whenever I play, read or sing to Terry, it always reminds me a lot of my childhood time. I recalled what are the toy I used to play with my brother, what are the song played, where to sing the song before, and etc.. The most clear scene that I still remembered during kindergarden, the teacher who taught us 'A" for 'Apple', and the time all of us read for it. I don't know how come I remembered this scene very strong.

Whenever having family gathering, all my cousin's kids are playing what game-boy, computer game, cartoon cards, PSIII..all electronics gadget. It truly lost a lot of fun playing in the field. As year goes by and many many more electronic game stuff coming out.

When I was young, parents brought us to Genting twice before. That time, the Indoor Theme Park having many machine for children, whereby you slot in a coin and the machine will gallop, turn or swing. Other than that also the big cup, train, pong-pong car..etc. Now, there are more machines, but those what SEGA machine. I look at it I also don't know how to play. May be Terry need to teach this mummy back later. Kids play machine are like adult play machine now...Children now have lost all very natural and original fun game. I don't know what Terry child age will play later.

Marketing

Since a month ago, I’m start doing my weekly ‘marketing’. Here not talking about what marketing strategy. Hmm..yes may be it consider too. For every Saturday, went to wet market to buy our 1 week food to store. Many people don’t like to go wet market, as it is dirty. I still remember when I was small, every week my mum went to wet market in Old Klang road or OUG, I refused to walk with her when reach the market area. I rather wait her at the dry area and help her to carry the vege.

The wet market I went to is located at OUG. Here, I know which stall to buy and not to buy as since I followed my mum to buy before. Here the floor is wet in front of some stall. The water is about an inch high. It always wet my slipper when I walk passed them. Since I buy there, I don’t particularly compared the price for the same thing in other stall, as long as the vege looks fresh, the price is not much different. I only have 1 hour to buy all I want. So, got to be quick in choose and buy. Before the day, I will list out whatever I want to buy then another list is the dish to cook from Mon-Sat. In that way, I no need to think what to cook for the day and also to prevent not having the food I want to cook. Sometime is kind of hard to think for a dish to cook. Every week, we spent about RM70 for marketing. My cooking menu is 1 week 3 times soup and in every meal try to balance with meat and vege.

After start buying my own, I know more about the price, how to check the freshness from the colour, certain vege from where can last and more fresh, recognise the look of the vege and remember its name...etc..many other more. Same goes to meat, different nick name in Cantonese to call for chicken, like 'ma lai kai', 'yuk kai', 'tai san giok kai'..(I only know up to these few), part to call in Cantonese for pork and which part of the meat is to suit different cooking style. For fish, the price is much different from area to area. In OUG is expensive. Normally I will ask my mum to buy for me. I believe there are still more to learn. Part of it my mum did taught me before. Buy own and eat own you will roughly know how to choose the next round, if you find the current one is not up to your satisfaction.

When I was like 6 years old, my mum told me that I refused to walk with her to the wet area and keep on saying 'dirty..dirty'..even when I was like secondary school I followed her to market, she rather ask me to stand at the dry place to wait for her. That's how I trained to go wet market. Now, wet area? thats where to fresh food worth for money!

I did it!

Yes, I did it now! My first money from blogging is in. Hoo..hoo..Although just a few USD$ but the satisfaction is very great. It gives me more spirit to write. I just posted 2 posts from CREAMaid, JustSayHi.com paid USD$3 and Breda.com paid USD$4. It is out of my expectation they put me in the conversation starter widget, as the first one I did for UrbanFont.com they not paid me. Can't wait to write more...doing with CREAMaid need to act fast, as some offer have limited slot, they will only pay if your post got selected in the coversation starter widget, if not selected u still got paid but u need to wait other ppl to click on your converation widget as their referral, and paid for referral is much lesser.

Rejected from PPP

PPP team have rejected my blog!!! This was what said in the email: -

So, I have ended a way to blog for money, as PPP is the most famous site to have many oppurtunity to earn money. To get approve again, what I can do is either resubmit the blog or delete the blog. This is the only blog I have and I dun have any idea to start a whole new blog again. My this blog have been here for the past 2.5 years, delete it is impossible. Resubmit again got a lot to do...as they mention they dun understand my blog. I dunno how to make them understand. So, PPP bye-bye!!!

Hope I still can look forward to Blogitive, Blogsvertise and CREAMaid for ad writing. The last ad I wrote the money still not being paid to me. I dunno where it went wrong again. Too bad lar for a start, got rejected, got money hang...but from Google Ad-sense I got paid...but very little only USD$0.35. It is still better than nothing lorrr..

Good timing

Last Friday supposed having a gathering with college mates, which this have planned a week ahead by organiser. But due to last minute almost working one will late for work to attend and some not able to turn up. So, the gathering end up have to cancel.

I only know this in the afternoon, which after I have arranged my parents and hub to jaga my boy and even start preparing the dinner for the night for 3. At first I quite dissapointed and a bit mad lorr...but think of another way is a good time to ask my parent to hav dinner too, since I have boil a big pot of soup. Just add a few dishes and it complete the dinner of the night.

The night, I have prepared ABC soup, braised chicken, steam pork ribs and fried vege "yao-mak". These are the dishes I normally do...When preparing food for more ppl I tend to feel stressful. Will worried of the taste, the colour, the look and the amount is it too much or just right....Comment from my mum, the soup is a bit spicy, coz I add a bit more pepper...and rice hard too...I dun mind ppl complain on my skill of cook, I will take note of it to do better next time...this is the process of learning..

So, this is also the first time my parents taste my cook. I feel warm during the dinner. The satisfaction to have family having a full table of my own cook the satisfaction level is HIGH!

I'm about to start my work on blogging for money...have mentioned on starting it months ago...as seeing others doing well on it...This year, as one of my new year resolution too, I wan to make side income at home, also by reading 5Xmom and shoppingmum blog say on how to make money, it give me greater inspiration to start off. So, I tell myself I have to start now. Just got registered at PayPerPost and PayPal, as where the money made will flow in. Now, waiting for my blog URL to be approve, then I'm on my way to make money at home.

Really lucky

Recently both of us win this DKNY Red Delicious Men purfume from Men's Health magazine. Brandon email his reader's opinion and being selected. He sent out 2 entries, another one using my name. So lucky that both of the reader opinion being selected. I'm so happy about it again. I didn't know about it until he told me he did that way. Now, we waiting this worth RM170 purfume to reach us. Each month only 5 winners will get selected. Lucky huh? So, I plan to sell it again...Men purfume not ngam me..somemore now SAHM seldom wear purfume, I still have 2 new purfume not being used.

The Sony Mini Hi-Fi won previously have sold off with RM400 only, together with the 29" flat Panasonic TV both sold at RM1200. TV not belongs to me. Well, good or not good I got RM400 cash to used. The retail price of this Mini Hi-Fi is RM899.

On and off we love to take part in contest saw in newspaper or magazine. Now, we are about to send out entries for baby contest for different title, host by the Mommybaby magazine I read regularly. See if baby Terry carry the luck to get something or not....

For those people, New Year's will serve only as a dim reminder of loneliness and loss. It will simply mark the beginning of another year of failure.What about you? What's this year really going to be like for you?

You may appear to be happy enough. You may be passing out seasonal smiles and holiday greetings just like everybody else. But inside, you may hurt. You may be disappointed. You may even feel like you can't go on.

If so, I want you to know something. All of that can change in an instant. You can start your life over today and make this New Year's Day the most joyful day of your life! How many times have you said to yourself, "If I could just start over, I'd do it all differently"? That doesn't have to be simply an idle wish. Jesus Christ has actually made it possible. That's His Christmas present to you. He paid the price for all your sins. He paid the penalty for all your mistakes. That's the reason He came to earth. That's the reason He was born - so you could start over!

You may look at your life and say, "But I've made some terrible mistakes. I've done some despicable things." That doesn't matter. Jesus paid the price for them all! How can you make a new start? Romans 10:9 says that "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Ability, appearance and attitude

1. His not growing much hair on head top, thus it form a big ‘M’, hardly can shape his hair yet.
2. Like to turn around when been carried. Hands will go to the stuff he saw and wan to grab it.
3. Like to hold on things and knock. When placed in on bouncer/ floor, he will hold whatever he hav and turn to the back and knock to wall or floor. When hold on bottle with water, he will shake it up and down.
4. Can play by himself like 1 hour or more in the bouncer. When tired sometime he even fall a sleep on the bouncer.
5. Like to blow out and babble with saliva.
6. Use tongue to play on his teeth.
7. Lick feet and fingers.
8. Having 3rd teeth. Suppose aft having 2 front-down then 2 up-front, but he having the third one grow on the left of the front-down. (check the pic above) ***Updated on 6/1*** there is a teeth coming out at up-front.
9. Can like call out ba-ba (frequent), ma, mum-mum and meehh..so cute…of coz we will response to him each time he doing that.
10. Hold firm on bottle when drink milk, now not allow me to hold the bottle for long, he will push away my hand and wan to hold by himself. Sometime I just let him drink by himself while lying on his bouncing net/ bed.
11. Can turn and roll on left and right very well and fast. Roll facing down and lie on back for 2 rounds. Sometimes when have things blocking him to turn, he’ll cry for help.
12. Can stand quite firm for more than 10 sec.
13. Sometimes can sit by himself for 6 sec. But still very soft.
14. Play walker 15 min per day. He will turn for direction when things are blocking him. Can kick quite fast.
15. When he is happy and excited his both leg will kick non-stop and kick hard.
16. Love to smile, giggle and laugh out loud when finger running on his body.
17. When ppl are talking he will look and stay quiet. But, when we stop he will babble there.
18. Teach him to clap hand and ‘gong-xi gong-xi’ he lazy to do it and not even pay attention when holding his hand playing it. May b is still early..hehe…
19. Sleep 3 times a day. Each time 1.5 – 3 hours. Daytime still sleeps with swing and I try not to swing him too much to make him sleep. Just let him tired first then only place him in. At night if he is not making noise I will let him sleep by himself without swing.
20. No pacifier since 5 m.o. Even before this he seldom have it.

Baby food

1. 5.5 oz-6oz each time. 3 times per day - morning, early evening and before sleep.
2. Half bowl of cereal, porridge or mash-potato for twice a day (Noon and dinner time)
3. Now hav introduced him food like, broccoli flower, cauliflower, pumpkin, pear, papaya, fish – fresh sardine and big anchovy (ikan bilis). The fish I used it to cook and strain the water out for boil porridge. For apple and pear, normally will steam it first before feed. May b by 8 months old only feed him in fresh.
4. Have change to FrisoGold Step 2 (6-12 mths) milk powder.
5. Not given finger snack or teething biscuit yet.

Toy

1. Love toys, which can make sounds.
2. Mini gym.
3. Teething toy.

This took during 3 months old, see how he call out mama. Now he called out almost the same. But not in crying face anymore.

2006 forwarding to 2007

2006 just away. To me, last year have marked a start of my motherhood for the rest of my life. For better or worst, happy or sad, health or pain, good or bad, laughter or tears, know or don't know, all have passed. I hope I can take the worst, the sad, the pain, the bad, the tears and the don't know as an precious experience and cherish all the special moment I hav throughout 2006. I hope u too, forget the past and start to live the new you from now on. Best wishes to you and a very

So what I have done during these few days of holiday...

31/12/06 - As usual went to church in the morning, back home rest. At night, count down BBQ party + belated birthday party at my Uncle house in Bangsar. Went wit my parents n Terry only....since relatives only see Terry few months once...so when they see him again, everyone wan to hug him...mayb becoz of sleepy and he wan to sleep but cannot sleep, I put him in stroller. He can just play by himself without me, but when ppl go near him to play with or just look at him, he will cry for mummy...so I ran in and out the house when BBQ starts...my aunty prepared us good food, like chicken, salmon fish, lamb chop, sausages, fried mee, popiah, kuih, fruits and wine. I can't eat much as need to look aft baby. Chit-chat with all cousin-in-law and play with baby Kieran too. He grow up a lot, 2 months+ now...another good news from my cousin bro, his princesss (his 3rd kids) was arrived in the morning. Wat a good day to remember the birth. Another new born to wrap up the 2006. Back home aft 12am, as my uncle and aunty wan us to stay and shout for new year. 12am sharp, can't see any firework play at Bangsar area. But, can hear firework sound from far.

1/1/07 - Get up early morning and went shopping again without Terry. Put him at my mum's house and we both went Ikea, Ikano, The Curve and 1 Utama for the whole day and shopped for 9 hours. Bought a lot of things. Toilet things, display rack, big photo frame (from Ikea), 10 pcs new clothes for CNY (Brandon 6, me 3 and Terry 1). We found great discount at Izzue (The Curve), store wide discount 70%, we bought total 8 pcs from there. If going to buy it before less price, it will cost us RM850...haha...very happy aft bought it with only RM255. In 1 Utama, shop for some grocery and sushi from Jusco. Very very tired aft that.
