Terry was still in sick and visit his paed again. Thick thick phlegm and causing him have a bit breathing difficulty while coughing. Last week paed visit was about flu overflow in the lungs and causing his lung infected and cough. Finish his 3 bottles medicines, namely for flu, cough and phelgm, he was not fully recover thereafter. It was on Wednesday midnight, he was cough continously for 2 hours with thick phlegm in his throat. Making him couldn't sleep even he is very tired and sleepy. For daytime he was like short breath (phlegm is blocking) when he goes on a continue coughing. Once stop his face in red.
So, on Wednesday night, we visit our paed for the 2nd time. He said this time the cough is different. It was an infection. This sickness germs have been passing around actively over the week. That can clearly explain we 3 of us still haven't been recovering. Since his phelgm is thick paed suggested that he got to suck gas to clear the phlegm blocked in the lungs and throat.
There goes, it was his first horrible experience for the 5 minutes treatment. He used of his great energy try to escape in cry and shout. The clinic nurse hold on the sucking cap which put on his face, I hug him sitting on my lap, grap tight and hold tight his hand while daddy hold his kicking legs. He even bited the cap. When he breath in and out, he did throw out some phlegm throw out in white.
He was like being frighten after the treatment and looks very tired. Took 4 bottles med, this round and 2 types of phlegm med, cough and flu. It is slightly better now, but at night still very cough but less phelgm.
It was always like that, daytime less cough and while during we sleep the cough is really killing. I remember I read a health article before regarding our body clock. It says between 1am-2am is when our body works on clearning the toxical. Thats why we can develop more cough during we rest. For those in the recovering stage, if can, try not to have any cough syrup to stop the serious cough at night, let your body immune system fight for it.
For myself, I was still in cough and mild sore thraot too. It can happen in alternate day. Arggh...Have been drinking lots of 'leong sui' before really need to visit doctor again. I hope I can recover without taking much of cough syrups, cause it have not been helping to cure since.
With his 2 favourite toy now. Wants them day and night.

hope mummy and baby will be well soon.... :)
oh dear it doesn't sound very good... do hope you all will get well really soon..
my hubby's nephew too had bad cough when he was small and he too went thru the sucking of phlegm.. this was many years back and probably the equipment weren't that good so the poor kid's throat got hurt quite badly.. then they found that it was cause by allergy to dog's fur... you may wanna check if this was one of the reason..
another thing you may wanna try is a cough remedy.. take a small container and fill half with honey and then top it up with halved limes (remove seeds first).. put aside for a few days for them to soak in.. then take few tablespoons each day or mix as drink...
Get well soon for both yourself and cute Terry.
Hope both mum and boy will recover soon. Take care!

Oh poor Terry hope she recover soon. My girl cough also, now sick season. Normally Chloe will cough till throw out. Good also she can clear out the phlegm in this way. Take care.
Gosh~ I can imagine the trauma all of you felt during the phlegm suction. My boy had it done once at the hospital, it was so dramatic with probably the entire floor hearing him scream before the tube was inserted.
I hope both Terry and you will feel better soon :) Cut down on those "leong-shui" if yours is a "cold-cough" *wink*
Thanks for all your concern and advises.

hoping Terry is much better now :-)
don't worry. children this age is always sick. my both kids went thru all these tortures since they were babies till ard 3 years. they are stronger now. my kids always went for nebuliser (suck gas) when they cough almost each month, but actually it's reliefing and not painful at all. my boy worst. doctor sucked out his phlegm with a tube right fr his throat when he was only a few months old. mummy was not allowed to see......it was hurt, my heart felt pain that time.......i recalled this all of a sudden. sorry for this lengthy comment. :p
