Wow...see so long I didn't go there. It have been changed few months ago.

Happy to met some ex-colleagues.
With Adeline and May

With a few from my table (L-R: Li Li, May, Carine and Kevin)

Before we left for the night, another pic to go with Mrs. Saw

Dinner calls an end at 10.45pm, we left right after that, knowing that everybody need to work tomorrow. Again traffic stuck a bit at Berjaya Times Square. I reached my Puchong home at 11.30pm and hubby and Terry is waiting for me to go back.

Why Google PR going up and down?

Few weeks back, Google PR did an update, many new bloggers getting a good PR for their blog. Mainly those blog with less paid posts are being promoted (as what I noticed). But for many also got the PR demoted, especially for blog host at Blogspot with paid posts. I can't run away from that, from a good PR 3 dropped to 2.

2 weeks later, Google do an update again. Can it be so soon? it suppose to be update every 3-4 months right? A few bloggers already start making noise their PR is fluctuate, sometimes shows N/A, sometimes shows 0. But what we can do, their update period is so short now.

Everyday I keep my eye close in checking the PR meter. It has been in PR2 for about 2 weeks and today I got a BIG FAT ZERO!!! Is this the penalize we got for doing paid posts? Blogging for money need a good PR, but Google don't give blog with paid post with a good PR. Now they are trying to give all of us a ZERO, even for those with less paid post also deserve a ZERO now.

So you tell me what can we do now to get a PR and keep doing paid post? If you always find the PR meter not functioning well, you can try this PR checker from 3P very accurate.

New "baby"

This is the latest gadget at home. Hubby just bought this DELL Inspiron 1420 Notebook. Again, he bought it online at DELL. The desktop we are using currently also bought online. We don't have any complain after using for more than 1 year. We trusted the brand so much for its genuine parts, quality and reasonable price. So for this new laptop, he also go for online ordering and it delivered right to doorstep.

This series of Notebook comes with 8 different colors to choose from. Hubby get a Spring Green colour, running Windows Vista® Home Premium, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM and build in wireless network card. The weight is quite heavy, it also comes with a backpack instead of suitcase. Now, I can use it to online at anywhere in the house, but I still more prefer desktop. For the old Twinhead notebook is kept a side now after 5 years using.

Arrival of baby Joshua

Congratulation to Sean Ng and Jessyn Wong. My dear church sister just gave birth to little Joshua Ng on 13th November 2007. Baby weighted 2.63kg, a very cute baby boy.

During the time they got married, I couldn't turn up as I'm in the hospital giving birth to Terry. Very happy to saw this newborn in their hand today. May God blessed this little precious and see you all again in church.

Walkin' in action

This is how Terry walks with both hands high up in the air. He is just so cute when walking with a little bit shaking and smile sometimes. When he falls, he holds and get up again and continue to walk. He just busy practice walking nowadays. The coffee table and playpen is shift aside to give more place for him to walk.

Terry is walking finally

At 17 months and 2 weeks old, finally my darling boy take his steady walking steps. Last week during Deepavali holiday, he just walked around at home a lot and can see his walking step is more firm now. He can walk quite far from dining room to bedroom and almost everywhere in the house. The good things is those places goes a step down like kitchen and toilet he won't dare to go. So there still no need to install any safety gate at the moment.

At times he still fall, but he just sit on the floor when he is shaking. Sometimes he just don't want to be close up in the playpen for too long. He can go up and down the push car pretty good without any help. One more thing, he still not able to stand from sitting position. He will stretch out his arm for help to get him up or hold on anything to support him to stand again. Will try to capture the walking video in next update.

Genting dinner trip

As mention earlier, we went Genting on Saturday evening. Hubby only manage to get home at 4pm. At 4.30pm we out of the house and head up to the hill. Supposed we took MRR2 route is the most fastest way to Genting, but since hubby know that is jam there, so we take Seremban highway. Who knows it is more terrible, we stuck there. It is totally couldn't move for half an hour. Since we are still at a point that can make alternative, I suggested hubby take the way out from Seri Kembangan, pass by Mines to go Cheras and exit to MRR2.

Finally we make it to skip all the massive jam. If you know something happen that day - the yellow power in action causes many main highway caught in a very very terrible jam. By the time we reached the peak is 7pm sharp. Since I already dress up, check in the room, drop our luggage then straightaway head to the meeting room for the dinner. First time I have table course dinner at First World hotel. So far so good, but the dishes fairly only. In the lucky draw, hubby manage to win RM500 cash prize out of 10 cash prizes only. What a good luck to start off before heading to Casino..hehe..

After dinner ends at 10pm+, we changed and head to the StarWorld casino and try some luck. There are live-band performing inside, quite relaxing to play there. We play small bet only on Money Wheel spin. Manage to win. After an hour there, we head back our room to rest. The night, so terrible, I couldn't sleep. First, the stupid toilet water flowing noise makes me couldn't sleep, no matter how hard to I closed my eye and try to sleep. Second, I hate the "new" (unfamiliar) bed feel. Third, I don't know why I got such ting-ge-ling feel (those la...), I start to play some church songs from my phone. But thats not help so much though. At about 4am, I only manage to sleep soundly.

Alarm wakes me up at 7.45am, after clean up then we breakfast at First World Café. Nothing so special, I just have a plate of nasi lemak and western breakfast (sausage, egg, ham and bake bean). After breakfast, StarWorld again. My favorite Money Wheel still not yet open early in the morning. Didn't play on the slot machines. It is not so good to play and winning is low. So we played some Pontoon (like Blackjack), manage to win also, then proceed to Genting de Casino after a short while. Hubby not play. I play the table game French Boule. I manage to win quite a lot from there. Later we left to check-out at 12pm. Before you back home, buffet lunch at First World too (included), not bad the food they served, variety and the cake are very delicious. So, it is just makan and casino there. A happy trip there.

I suffered from a very bad diarrhea at night. Not sure whether I eat too much or in many variety at 1 go in 2 days time or after having the dinner packed from outside as I eat very plain and light in normal days. I keep on visited the loo at least 10 times. Now feel much better after having 2 times pill "poh chai". I'm so tired today actually, but still pending paid posts to go and also tags.

Clean your snow white keyboard

If you are using a white or cream colour keyboard, how you clean them if its dirty? Those black stain sticking around each key and for sure you are not comfortable typing on it...use detergent, soup water? Last time I used wet cloth and soup water to clean, but the stain can't fully remove away. I also afraid if I put too wet to wipe, the water goes into the keyboard and may spoil it.

Many years ago (opps..is it too late to share), I know it from Mdm Kwan (my church member) she taught me to use toothpaste to clean it. Yes, it is toothpaste. It works wonder and the stain completely removed! Since then, I used that to clean my keyboard and there is no worried that water goes down at the keyboard. No soapy feel that you need to rub a few times with clean water. You can use it to clean any plastic surface like your mouse, monitor, speaker, laptop and etc...Remember only the plastic area.

I don't have a white keyboard to show you the effect. Here, I did an experiment on cleaning the dirty spray cap coated with cooking oil stain.

P1090304.1
Dirty cap
P1090303.1
Wet cloth with a lil toothpaste and rub
P1090306.1
Very clean with toothpaste smell

Go try ya, toothpaste can be your wonder detergent too.

Wish list - Olympus Digital Camera

Few weeks back, I have been so wanted to get a new digital camera aside for blogging needs and also to capture all my boy's growing moments. You will know why I need that so much. Since after having Terry I have been snapping lots of his photo using Panasonic Lumix. You know capture a photo of an active baby is not easy. You don't expect to take one and get a good shoot. You need to continue to snap on for up to 10 above only can get 1 clear and nice without moving motion.

Sometime I used the Sony CyberShot (old one) to do, it is slightly better than Lumix when used to capture moving object. This camera is only 1.3 mega pixel, for normal shoot, the picture is good enough, sharp and clear. Thats what Sony is good at its lens. We used that during our dating time back in 2002. This camera one thing not good is the battery goes flat very very fast. 2 new AA battery only can last you to take about 20 pictures without using flash and self-timer. We only switch to Lumix later because of that.

Hubby using Konica Minolta 2 years ago. A bulky digital camera which I most seldom used. It has the image stabilization technology, but I don't find the image color is nice and sharp when viewing. With these 3 cameras at home, when going out (not all time), I still prefer using Lumix as it is small and battery last longer. But none of these can satisfied my photo capture needs.
So now, my main concern is to get a camera can capture good moving object, battery usage last longer and camera size slim and light. I always wanted a camera to carry along in my bag. After comparing Sony Cybershot, Canon IXUS and Olympus on spec and price, I found Olympus µ 790 SW is the best. Having extra features of shock proof, water proof and weather proof which others don't have. It is the latest stylish digital camera. Basically it covered my needs and it is 7.1 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom and using lithium chargeable battery.

I have survey around the camera price and test used it. Wow, I like it very much - handy and light and perfectly fit in my handbag. Thats what I'm looking for. For the price, RM1199 is the manufacturer price. First, I check at MyKamera.com they sell RM799 with 1GD SD card free which is so unbelievable cheap. Although the price so attractively cheap but I don't go for the first find out. Later I check from Fotokem RM1150 with 2GB SD card free. Also found offer RM1160 with 2 GB card free. The 2 later one are more reasonable which is close to original price. The cheaper one might getting some imitation (I don't know, may be). I will go for more shop to check out before buying it. Hopefully can go Sungai Wang for around to find out. The price is still a lil' expensive to me. But really want to get it as soon as possible.

This is the most expensive gadget that I never spend on before.

LeSportsac handbag from eBay

Another piece of item I bid from eBay and also a rewarding time I have for myself. This is Classic Marina Hobo handbag from LeSportsac. I have admire this brand of bags in Isetan since few years ago. Because of the price is expensive I didn't buy it there although I like it very much. Today with my earning, I afford to get one finally.

My last MNG handbag have last for 3 years, which I have used it for day and night, work and leisure. So I don't think is too excessive to have a new good handbag ya? This bag is not too big and not too small. Consist of 4 compartments with an extra cosmetic bag. 2 side zipper and main zipper with an inner zip pocket. Bag strip can be adjust to make a sling bag too.

It is just nice to be carry around when shopping and can fit some of my boy things too like bottles, hanky and diaper. My old handbag will looks tight and full if got to fit that in and with my purse and handphone all in. This bag still have a bit space for dropping in other small things. Seems like I can't have any smaller handbag and ladylike handbag to go out now.

It is more easier as Terry grow, I no longer lung my big diaper bag to go shopping with me. Just make sure he eats full, place the diaper bag in car and I can go out with a few things in my handbag.

Uncomfortable jap

Terry just had his Booster Triple & Polio &HIB jap. This jap stated in the immunization card should be taken between 18-24 months. But since paed have make a early schedule on that, his nurse called me up to bring him over for the jap. So I did. As usual, Terry lie on my lap and paed will place a dancing and singing doggy in front of him. There goes the jap done without any tiny bit of cry.

After the jap, first day nothing. The next day he being a bit cranky. Seems feel like not comfortable everywhere and cry a lot too without any reason. At night, I feel that his body temperature is a bit high, so just pop in 3ml Paracetamol and he goes sleep soundly at night. The next day wake up temperature ok already, but still like to cry throughout the day. I try to calm him down by carry him, play and watch TV with him. These 2 days he is getting hard to go on day nap too.

Now he don't like to drink water like last time. He will push away and turn his face away if he don't want. By forced, he will suck 3 to 4 mouth and leave up. Will try to make him to drink more water and I'm thinking to boil some 七星茶 (tea) to calm down the hot inside his body (maybe).

Does Google PR really matter?

As many of us aware, our blog PR is being revised by Google. Many of my blogger friends, especially those doing paid posts very hard are getting a demoted PR. My humble blog also in the same shoe, from PR 3 drop to 2 now. If I'm not doing paid post, I don't really care what this PR got to do to me. But the fact is that all paid post company are very much looking at our blog PR on what offer to give us.

With the PR demoted my paid post offers also getting a bit lesser. PR ranking guideline is getting more strict now. We also don't know what algorithm they used to measure our blog quality. Can they be changing every time? hard to predict also. Last time many of us do tags and place blogroll in order to get more back link and believe that it did helps to increase PR. The latest PR update tell us that, seems they not check on how many back links we have.

I think our blog quality and reader's visits is still the important fact to look at all times. A blog in well balanced of paid post and own post is very important. Looks like I need to work more harder on writing more own post instead of what you see now, loaded with full of paid posts. In my own domain I will work out more quality post there to build a PR rank place before start doing any paid post.

So sorry to my reader I know you have not been reading any of my own post this week. Let me clear off the pending posts first and I will have my own write up soon.

7 Foods Every Woman Must Eat

The more you munch on healthy eats, the less you need to worry about Friday night's fat burger and fries. Women who routinely nibble nutritiously slash their risk of dying from the usual culprits, including heart disease and cancer. To up your odds of living a long and healthy life--despite occasional blow-outs at TGIF--make sure you regularly include these 7 nutritional powerhouses in your diet.
  1. BERRIES
Why: Ounce for ounce, berries have more protective plant antioxidants than almost any other food. "These compounds not only lower your disease risks, they help prevent memory loss," says Somer.

How Much: Aim for a cup of berries--any berries, fresh or frozen--at least three times a week (berry researchers say eat a cup daily). Since berries are high in fill-you-up fiber, they may also help curb weight gain.

    How:
    * Toss them in salads
    * Snack on them one by one, like healthy potato chips
    * Add them to yogurt, cereal, and smoothies
    * Stir them into anything you bake

  2. SALMON
Why: Sure salmon is a prime source of omega-3s, the healthy fats that fend off heart disease and maybe more, but are you aware that a mere 3 ounces of the fish serves up 170% of your daily vitamin B12 and more than 80% of your D

How Much: Aim for two servings a week (and if one's tuna, that's okay).

    How:
    * Broil, bake or poach it with dill
    * Toss it into pasta dishes and salads

If you're vegetarian or just not a fish-eater, get the key omega-3 fat called DHA in:
    * Silk Plus Omega-3 DHA Soymilk
    * Horizon Organic Milk Plus DHA
    * Oh Mama Nutrition Bars
    * Gold Circle Farm Eggs
    * Rachel's Wickedly Delicious Yogurts

  3. LEAFY GREENS
Why: It's almost impossible to meet your nutritional needs without eating dark leafy greens, from spinach and romaine to collard greens and chard. They're huge sources of fiber; vitamins C and K; folic acid (a B vitamin that guards the heart and memory and fights birth defects); lutein, a vision protector; and four essential minerals: calcium, magnesium, iron, and potassium.

How Much: Two servings a day, and the darker, the better.

    How:
    * Add arugula to your sandwich
    * Layer chard into lasagna
    * Fold spinach into omelets
    * Add any green to stir-fries, pasta dishes and soup

  4. WHOLE GRAINS
Why: They have up to 96 percent more fiber, magnesium, zinc, chromium and vitamins E and B6 than refined grains. This nutritional powerhouse helps prevent the same health problems that refined grains help cause: heart disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension and even obesity.

How Much: Ideally, all of the six daily grain servings you need should be whole, unrefined grains, but aim for at least three.

    How:
    * Start your day with oatmeal or whole-grain cold cereal
    * Use 100% whole-wheat bread for toast and sandwiches
    * Switch to whole-wheat couscous and pasta
    * Opt for brown rice (instant is fine), whole-grain pretzels, even whole-wheat tortillas

  5. NUTS
Why: They're excellent sources of protein, magnesium, B vitamins and E--trusty fighters in the war against heart disease and cancer. Yes, nuts are high in fat calories, but their fat is the heart-healthy kind. Replace junky snacks with them and you won't gain an ounce.

How Much: Up to five small fistfuls a week (roughly 1/4 cup or about 15-20 almonds, cashews, walnuts or pecans).

    How:
    * Sprinkle plain or toasted nuts on salads instead of croutons
    * Mix them into cooked cous cous and brown rice
    * Stir them into cereal and yogurt
    * Use them to garnish a stir-fry just before serving

  6. GOLDEN VEGGIES
Why: Just one serving of fiber-filled, deep-yellow-orange vegetables supplies five times the beta carotene you need daily to lower your cancer risk, defend against colds and other infections, and protect your skin from sun damage. The potassium in these veggies also keeps your heartbeat in sync and your blood pressure down.

How Much: Aim for two half-cup servings a day, the equivalent of one sweet potato, 12 canned apricot halves or a cup of butternut squash or carrots.

How: Try this sweet potato quickie from Somer's The Food & Mood Cookbook:

    Cajun Sweet Potatoes
    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
    2. Cut sweet potatoes into 1-inch thick slices and toss with olive oil, Cajun seasoning and freshly ground pepper.
    3. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly brown and cooked through, but still slightly crunchy.

  7. YOGURT
Why: Low- or no-fat plain yogurt is a terrific source of B vitamins, protein, calcium and --if it has active cultures--the healthy bacteria known as probiotics, which crowd out disease-causing germs.

How Much: Four or more cups a week, if this is your main dairy source.

How: Cut back on sugar and calories by choosing plain yogurt and adding fruit, especially berries, and some granola. Or be more inventive:
    * Mix a dash of vanilla and chopped mint into yogurt and dollop on fruit
    * Use yogurt instead of sour cream for dips, sauces and salad dressings
    * Top baked potatoes with yogurt and chives
    * Thicken sauces and make soups "creamy" with yogurt
The payback part? As one of the Harvard researchers would likely tell you, eating a diverse diet that is low in calories and high in nutrients can make your RealAge as much as 4 years younger.

Top 5 Myths about Drinks

  1. Diet Pop is healthier than Regular Pop
One can of regular pop contains about 135 kilocalories whereas a can of diet pop contains less than 10 kilocalories; some even contain zero kilocalories. Therefore, it is true that diet pop contains fewer calories. However, it is rather difficult to agree that diet pop is "healthier" as there is really nothing healthy about artificially colored and flavored water.

  2. It is less fattening to drink juice than milk
Many people are surprised to learn that a glass of juice contains more calories than a glass of one percent milk. Even two percent milk has only 10 kilocalories more than a glass of fruit juice, which has 120 kilocalories! While juice contains mostly sugar and some vitamins, milk has more nutrients such as protein, calcium, potassium and Vitamin D.

  3. All bottled waters such as sparkling water, tonic water, flavored water, and mineral water are WATER
Yes, plain bottled water is water and is calorie-free. Some flavored waters are made with water and real juice. However, many flavored waters are flavored with artificial sweeteners and contain little juice. Tonic water, for instance, has 125 kilocalories per serving. Hence, always read the label and check the ingredient list. If you drink bottled water instead of tap water regularly, make sure it contains fluoride.

  4. Drinking wine instead of beer won't make a beer-belly
It is a common misconception that wine contains fewer calories than beer. It is simply not true. One glass of wine (five ounces) contains about 130 kilocalories whereas one bottle of beer (12 ounces) has about 150 kilocalories. Therefore, wine contains more calories on a per-ounce basis. As a general rule, the sweeter the wine, the more sugar and calories it contains. By the same token for hard liquor; the higher the proof, the higher the calories.

Remember this next time when you are contemplating a second helping of alcohol: calories from alcohol tend to be stored as fat in the abdomen. So, if you drink alcohol on a regular basis (regardless of the kinds of alcohol), watch out for the beer-belly!

  5. Coffee is the main source of caffeine
Friends have often told me that they quit drinking coffee for the sake of their hearts. Little did they know that the can of pop in their hands has caffeine, too! Caffeine is widely found in tea and canned drinks. Some drinks, such as Jolt and Red Bull, contain as much caffeine as coffee!

In general, there is no harm to your health if you drink coffee in small to moderate amounts. However, it is advised that people with high blood pressure and pregnant women limit their caffeine consumption.

Trim and treatment

Since CNY I have a soft curly and hi-lite hair, after that round, I never went to saloon to trim or wash. 10 months of own washing and manage, the soft curly is gone and I also never bother to do anything on it. Thinking of change my hair style too, but don't what looks good on me.

Since there are many wedding dinner to attend, last week have thought of wanted to go for a total change of hair style. But due to lack of time, I just went to did a simple trim and treatment. Since the curly have straighten so much, it makes my hair grow thick at the back and I feel hot especially when sleeping. I did a layered trim from the fridge and do a treatment too. My hair goes so bad before the treatment done, when its comb it get knot a lot.

After the cut, wash and treatment done, voila! my hair goes so soft and straight. I still prefer straight hair then curly hair as I like to comb my hair. During the days I'm having curly hair, I just feel not comfortable without combing it. After all I will still goes for curly as I find it more suit my face shape.
