Good Bye 2008

Today is the last day in the year 2008. So far I feel that this year past in speed, may be is because too many things happen around and making the days past like you are not aware of it.

To me, 2008 is not a good year. But I should say life is not always smooth sailing. There are always ups and downs, good and bad. We still need to thank God for that, up to today we are blessed with health and everyone around is complete. When we are in trouble God is always there to strengthen us and at the same time we learn to have faith in God.

These are some "happening" things around in my year 2008:

Trip to Hong Kong and Macau (January)
We have spend great time travelling around HK, visit Hong Kong Disneyland and Macau. Although is just 3 days completely there, but glad we visit almost all tourist spots.

Terry's got Bronchiolitis (March-April)
It was developed after a 2 weeks cough. He went through nebuliser and taking lots of cough, phlegm, flu and medicine for asthma. We went in and out hospital and clinic for many times.

Terry's got Hot water burn (June-July)
This was the real worst thing happen in our life. His small body being hurt badly by 350ml hot water. Burn hurt covering 20% of his body in 1st and 2nd degreee burn condition. He went through skin graft operation, in out OT for 7 times and stay in 2 different hospitals. It is the most hard days to past in my life and up to now I still not get over the incident yet. Now he is on recovery with the help of Teviron products and start showing recovery sign on the deep scar.

Learn to Bake (August)
It was fun to bake cakes. But I still finding times to do and learn more. So far bake 1 cake before only (pai-seh)

Own first designer piece (November)
Yay! my dream comes true. I finally bought the Coach handbag end of November. It was a Coach Signature Hobo. This is my only handbag now and I love it to bits.

Blogging journey
Overall for paid post review and paid ad performance, this year just so-so, still better than nothing. There is nothing more happy that I know many great blogger friends out there this year, especially after Terry accident. Thanks for coming into my life and I truly feel your care and love. My daily task of online become more and more busy with so many blogs I'm want to read. Sorry for those I not drop by frequent. I still remember you. For those friends are here with me, thank you for your time and all your lovely comments.

Happening around the country and the world are,

12th Malaysia General Election (March)
I know I have not being a good citizen to register as a voter, but I'm happy with the result and looking forward for the new government to make a change to the country.

Sichuan Earth Quake (May)
The 7.9 magnitud earth quake almost destroyed the people and province. Collapse found everywhere, millions of dead and lost. Sad news to read for the entire month.

Petrol Price Hike (June)
It was like no body business the fuel price increased over night. I'm so sad government not doing a good job in controling the fuel price. Although motorists get the petrol rebate, but what can that little amount help with all foods and groceries thing's price keep increasing. It was something unexpected too that the fuel price drops, at least for now we should be happy.

Beijing Oylmpic Games 2008 (August)
The Opening and Closing ceremony was simply amazing and breakthrough across all sports game ceremony. An eye opening sports event to the world.

Melamine Milk Scandal (September)
The irresponsible manaufacturing in China making the kids in the world turn up side down. Many babies and kids suffer from kidney damage and in following of that other foods like biscuit, cereal, snacks are also found contain of the Melamine.

With that, this should be my last post for this year. I hope all the worst will become better, especially many expected the 2009 economy is going down and bad. Life is hard, but we still got to live over it. Wish everyone All the Best in 2009.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 !!!

Disney Festive Fun-tasy @ Niu Ze Xui

It was our first time at Niu Ze Xui. This cozy lifestyle commercial area open last year and it is still quite empty. Good that the basement parking is free. I can't believe the road leading to this place is kind of tricky..need to turn don't how many left right in the housing area and pass through a small, dark and narrow tunnel. Hubby did find out from friend before going there. As seeing the heavy dark cloud on the way to NZX, I was so afraid it gonna to be a heavy downpour later. Luckily it was not when we were there.

We have our dinner at Station One first before buying entrance tickets, as there were slightly rain outside. Luckily the rain stopped after dinner. As usual I told the boy in the car where we going and what we going to see later and he did show his excitement on it. I foresee he should be alright for the night since he had 2 hours nap and also what he going to see is something familiar to him.

The crowd started to get pack when the rain stopped. Lots of parents and kids came to watch this Disney Lights and Lanterns. We bought 2 adult tickets (RM10 for adult, RM5 for kid. Below 90cm tall - Free). It was a small area, only 2 rows of characters display on your left and right. There are games and photo booth too. It was so disappointed, only 1 game booth is working. Here are the beautiful Land of Lanterns.

Animals Fun-tasy

Space Fun-tasy

Pooh Fun-tasy

Mickey Fun-tasy

Jungle Fun-tasy

Underwater Fun-tasy

For the boy, it was ok for the first 20 minutes. He kept quiet when he saw those characters he likes and he pointed to us when we named it. After the first pic snap (without flash) with daddy, he started to make fuss and want us to carry and walk non-stop. He not allowed us to stop by and snap picture for the characters...I really don't know what he was up to this time.

The fencing around the lighting area

We stand aside and talk to him nicely by telling him that other kids are very good and taking picture with characters. Later, he was more ok, but still demanding for carry, fuss a little and not allow to snap pic with him. Since we can redeemed a free photo with 2 adult tickets from NZX, we choose to snap one family photo in front of the Mickey Fun-tasy. The boy was back to his fuss actually. 2 shoots let us choose, one with crying face, another with cry+hand covering face.
Photobucket
We choose the crying one

We continue to walk visits all other characters despite his crankiness continue. So all pic turn out with him was crying and fussing one. After around 45 minutes, we left the Fun-tasy.

Once out there, he no more fuss. Both of us actually quite mad about it. But kid, what to do...hai...While I lectured him in the car and he can understand what his crankiness is all about. He not cry when I lecturing him. He even pointing his crying face on the paid photo when I asked him.

Overall it is worth visiting, just like a small Disneyland there. Disney merchandise is available there. A sourvenir shop is inside the Lantern area and some other small stalls outside too. The admission tickets also works as a cash voucher too, you can buy things in NZX using that. Festive Fun-tasy Christmas lighting will end on 8th January 2009. Follow by the Disney CNY lighting will on till 15th February. Its open everyday from 11am - 12 midnight.

Jesus Christ Birthday

Christmas, we celebrate the birth of the Christ child. God sent His Son, Jesus, into the world to be born. To others, it is because of this festive were too commercialise, many may feel that Christmas is all about holiday, Christmas tree, Santa Claus, gifts and party. Well, don't forget Jesus Is The Reason For The Season! Rejoice!

Choir team from Puchong Branch

Every year, we celebrated this day at church. Family and friends were invited to join and learn the true meaning of Christmas and Jesus. This year, our church celebrate it at the Lestari branch church, also the first time for the branch church there organising it. We have presentation by both Puchong and Lestari church members from kids to adults. Followed by short speech by Pastor and baptism ceremony. It was really a joyful day to see about 10+ members baptisted to declare themselve as Christian.

A simple buffet lunch served in the end. I also exchanged gift with some church sisters. Terry was not able to sit still, until I unwrapped the gift from po-po on the spot...(no choice, as he kept wanted to walk outside which is very hot). It was a remote control car. I just let him to hold on the car and later he quiet for a while. He not ate much of the food and overall he behave well. We left at 1.30pm, back home and nap. So Terry's gift no longer can wait till Boxing Day to open. Here is what he got this year.

Thanks Mummy Moon and po-po, he loves these car very much!

In the evening, daddy brought us to Niu Ze Xui at Ara Damansara for dinner and watch the Disney Festive Fun-tasy lighting. Coming up post will talk about the Festive Fun-tasy. Overall, we have a great day spending time together on Christmas Day.

Christmas Eve lunch

I counting the time when was the last I hang out with Mummy Moon. It was still back in the schooling days! I remembered we loved to go KL jalan-jalan with few others by taking public transport. It was so much fun go makan and shopping. Times really flies, more than 10 years we not hang out together. We do meet up in between but not for hang out.

I'm so happy we still keep in touch till today. Most grateful one, she was one of my blogging buddy not long ago. We share a lot of common now through blogging and because of that we keep even closer contact. Really, I treasure so much this friendship, somehow after leaving school, not many schoolmates' friend can keep contact for long. We not have many photo with each other all these years. Here are those precious one.

The one and only school day pic with Mummy Moon at 1994

During my wedding, Feb'05

At Mummy Moon's wedding Sept'05

Ok, enough of story between me and Mummy Moon before I out of the topic. Yesterday was very special, since after schooling years, we first time arrange to go out with our little one. We went to Mid Valley have lunch followed by gift exchange for the kiddo. The day before I already start mentioning Yan Yan (Mummy Moon's princess) to Terry, so that he familiar with it when meet up. So far so good, he having good time when we were there and get along well with Yan Yan. He not making fuss too although it was past his afternoon nap time.

Since the photo session with Santa was on when we reached, we not miss the chance and have one. My boy, he afraid of Santa Claus (even those hanging decoration too), I make a quick move when we on the stage for photo and try not to let him face the Santa Claus directly. He not cry, but he is not happy with it. I can't imagine how if he sit on the Santa's lap, sure we can't make for it already. The paid shoot turn out his head looking down.

This taken from my camera still better

Later, we have lunch at Esquire Kitchen then proceed to Boulevard Hotel which the place less crowded and let the kiddo to exchange the gift in front of the Christmas tree. It was so funny seeing them hold on the gift and we directing them passing to each other.

The beary Christmas tree at Boulevard Hotel's lobby

Exchanging gift

Yan Yan can't wait to unwrap the gift on the spot and so do Terry. He hold on the toy car and not want to let go it. We shopped a while too after that. Thanks Mummy Moon for calling us out for this lunch and we really have a great time together. Terry was so tired and slept all the way home. Today, he still mentioning his friend Yan Yan to me...

Wish everyone have a
BLESSED MERRY CHRISTMAS! ..... .....

Christmas Carol Night

Has not been joining the caroling team after having Terry. This year was Terry's first time with me attend the Caroling Night. We have set 22nd and 23rd as Caroling at a few member's house, but I only joined the one on yesterday, which was my mum's boss home.

There were almost 40 of us. The Carol starts of with Christmas hyms. In the middle of that, there were short sketch and tembourine dance accompany with it. Later, a short message shared by the Jr. Pastor Low and lastly end with "We wish you a Merry Christmas".

Party of food starts after the prayer. Since my mum work as a cook in the boss's home, so all the foods on the table were prepared by my mum (some bought). There were fried mee, mee hoon, fried chicken drumsticks, Rendang sotong, roasted pork, fruits and drinks. We stayed there for 1 hour and the carolling team followed to go on 3 more houses later. But, we couldn't join them till late. So we went home after that.

The boy behave pretty well throughout the caroling and he was so interested on the twins baby girl there. Keep touching the babies hand, pointing the babies's leg and also keep passing "chut-chut" (pacifier) to the babies. During party he ate a drumstick and a bit of noodles..he then started to looks tired and boring. Since 2 weeks ago, I have been start telling him "Merry Christmas". Now once he saw Christmas tree, Santa Claus, snow man and etc on TV or those hanging decorations, he will say "Man-neh Tek" (his baby language there again..), to me it is kinda cute...

Gift exchange at Dong Zhi

Every year is the same, "big" day sure will be celebrate in FIL's house. The last we were there was during Mid Autumn. FIL missed his grandson so much. Terry of cause, not always visit there, when he stepped in the house, he needs time to warm up.

Dinner was prepared by MiL, a simple dinner with glutinuous rice ball. How can we skip that on Winter Solstice. After dinner, Terry was fully warm up and he started to play with his 3 gu-gu and grandpa. He was again having little rice only and I let him ate some tang yuen too and I think he loved it, cause he go round every people and asked for it.

The same old small Christmas tree at home with the gifts, My hand drawing gift cards on the pressie. Save!

Then, we have gift exchange. I'm not sure is this fun or not. Every year, I'll prepared 5 gifts and most of the time, I only get exchange 1 back which is from SIL#1 all the time. Well, I don't mind having nothing exchange back from the rest. I'm giving out with heart, just to show them I care and love them, but of cause it is nice if there is a return (coz Christmas gift ma...). I also prepared some for close church brother and sister and ready to give them on Christmas.

Tonight, I will be carolling and party at my mum's boss house. No gift exchange there. I'm looking forward on coming Wednesday have lunch + gift exchange for the kids with Mummy Moon.

Banquet @ Bangsar Village

It was a rare occasion that we dine out on Saturday night. I actually planned to cook, but since hubby called early before I heat my wok, so ok, we can off for something good. We have our dinner at Banquet, Bangsar Village 2.

Our first time there and it is quite comfortable to walk around as it is less pack. We go straight to the restaurant once we reach. In the car, I already told the boy what we going to do and remind him to be good and behave. He was so jolly throughout the night and walk by himself. Hence, I foresee this round we will have a peaceful one.

Banquet

We choose to sit outside of the restaurant, as the atmosphere is brighter and spacious. The staff set in a baby chair for Terry and carries him up to sit in. He was stoned for few seconds for having stranger carrying him and starts to give me an almost-want-to-cry look. Quickly I showed him his favorite biscuit and raisin (After last incident, I know what to do the best for him before he emotionally throw up, I just missed this last round). Off I saw him giggling there, when he saw lots of snacks in front of him (normally at home I only allowed him to eat very little). I was relief by then and say to myself, that's nice can order something take-time-to-finish.

The menu

Looking through the menu carefully and place my order for the Entrée and drink. Love the green and white surrounding there. Terry was no surprise on this new environment. He finished the snack in a dash. He then kept wanted to drink the mix fruit juice when hubby’s one was place on the table. I just afraid that his cough will simply come back as he only recovered a day before, so only allow a few sip.

Here is our dinner,
Photobucket
Chicken Casserole (RM32), Garlic Fried Rice (RM16), Beef Tenderloin (RM69),
Mix fruit drink each RM14 – mine was Green Card (Cucumber + Lime).
(No pic) Dessert - Tiramisu cake (RM18)

This time I can slowly eat my plate. The food and drinks were tasty and nothing was over too much with spices or over cook. The beef and chicken meat are tender enough. My plate was accompany with lots of mushroom gravy. The Tiramisu cake was very nice too as it almost melt in my mouth.

I fed Terry with some rice, he ate not much. But I’m happy enough that he can sit in the high chair for the whole dinner. When he was full, he began to feel boring and keep making noise wanted us to carry him down to walk. I’m clear his left over and carry him away from the table for a while. Hubby ordered the dessert later. No pic of it, as he not allowed me back to the table and rushing us to leave the place. When hubby takes over him and settles the bill, I quickly wallop the remaining quarter of the cake.

Later we strolled round the complex and thought wanted to take some pictures of the boy with the Christmas tree, but he just couldn’t stand still for a shoot…once I grab him he wanted to run away. He just interested over the empty-face board for photo placed outside the KizSports. We walked till almost 9.50pm. Back home, everyone wash down with another glass of milk before heading to bed.

That’s our night with good food and a jolly boy.

Teviron Anion Clothing for recovery

It was 3 weeks ago, my relatives from Ipoh using/wearing the Negative Ion (負離子) clothing and they began to introduced to me for the sake of Terry's burn recovery. They told me all the recovery testimonials and the goodness and effectiveness for health. It was hard to believe at first, but it really works miracally and amazing to all users.

It is all about the garments wearing on body and nothing else to eat or apply. The Teviron Negative Ion clothing work to purifies the blood by regulating the body pH balance to prevent disease, rejuvenates the cells, enhances the immune system, regulates autonomic nerves, eases away aches and pains.

After I know that and roughly check through from Nefful (the Teviron products website), without wait any longer, 2 days later, I bought all back for Terry. That time I still haven't really find out how the Negative Ion can produce from the fabric, what the fabric make of and how it works entirely.

I began to read the book from the starter kit later and did some research. Teviron is the Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) extracted from petroleum, and via acetone and benzene acting as a solvent, CPE is fabricated into a high tech fiber. It was invented in Japan. The clothes made from the fiber will generate negative electrostatic charges, which is like an invisible protective layer covering the human body and protecting it all times, anywhere, and strengthening the immunity system of the body. By wearing these garments, it is the easiest, most effective and natural way to heal the body and improve overall health. The testimonial after using and of the body reaction till recovering is a lot can be read and heard. It is truly a God sent technology and I'm so glad this products comes to Malaysia and we do not need to buy from Japan or US.

This is partly what I bought,
Blanket sample (from starter kit), Knee supporter RM360, Long socks RM210.
For the boy: Long sleeve shirt RM330, long pant RM400, short sleeve shirt RM310.
(Not in pic) Kid socks RM140, neck warmer RM120, Socks for hubby RM200.

Yeah, it is all soooo expansive for its quality. By joining as Nefful member (RM170 life time), I got 20% discount on all products and 2 blanket sample. The above we have spend RM2k plus for everyone at home. Wearing different garments for different purposes. Basically, Terry was on Teviron from top to toe. At night, his head will rest on the blanket sample. Really I'm so eager to see the bad scarring on recovery and also to ease his suffering on skin itchiness. From that day onwards, Terry was wearing all Teviron clothing day and night. No longer he needs to apply oil or cream now.
In less than 24 hours of wearing, Terry started to showed reaction, which is coughing and vomitting. It is due to his skin problem, lungs problem (Bronchiolitis) and taking too much of medicine. Those are the good and positive reaction he is getting. Now, I can see the hurt skin area are getting smoother. Some part of the scar is started to get flatten and the skin colour also change a little bit too.

The upline reaffirm me that, Terry's case is so minor already..there are cases even worst, which a man from Taiwan got hurt by some building use chemical and his burn injury is very deep till can see the bone. She reassure me, the man is fully recovered like normal now. So for Terry's skin, he will be back to almost like normal too. This is what I really really want to as I know when he grow up, seeing his body full of bad scar, sure he will be inferior and upset. I'm so glad that 2 months earlier, Mummy-in-vain's kids also on Teviron for their skin problem. They are slowly recovering now and showing good recovery sign too.

It is believe that, the more you put on the garments, the faster your body will show reaction on recovery. Meaning that, the energy will increase if you wear double or triple. Right now, the last thing we should get for the boy is a full single blanket (the highest energy among all products) to double speed up the recovery. It is 10x energy from the shirt he is wearing. It costs RM2850! As days goes by, I also pray hard that God really show more miracle after wearing the clothing and also show mercy on the boy to relieve the skin itchiness.

Teviron clothing is worth to invest as it brings benefit to health. As long as the material being wash with Nefful detergent (weak in alkaline) and dry orderly, the garments will still no fail to generate the Ion charges for many many years till it badly tear. By sharing this, hopefully it will benefits many of you. For those who wish to have a healthy living as new year resolution, you can absolutely consider this. I'm welcome all your questions and queries.

A quick brunch at Ole-Ole Bali @ Soho KL

Monday ago was a public holiday, aside hubby very very busy working on his office documents at home, he still took the time to bring us out. Since we have been closed up at home for a week and also on Sunday, we just thought of bringing the small one out for a while as he really looks boring staying at home.

A rainy day and holiday, I'm sure the shopping mall would be jam pack with crowd and traffic. We off to have brunch at Ole-Ole Bali at Solaris Mont' Kiara instead of walking and eating in the shopping mall. It is my first time there, a very high class place and this area is quite new too, as I can see not many shop lots occupied yet. Can easily spot Japanese, Korean and Mat Salleh hang out there. An eye opener for me, saw a kid's spa there, just above Coffee Bean. I think there have such service like fish spa, pedicure, manicure, hair saloon and etc, just like those services usually can find in an adult spa. If got the chance really want to go in and check out. The shop is call Fettish Kid Spa.

So there we ate at Ole-Ole Bali, a very Balinese ambience restuarant inside out. We choose to sit inside the restaurant. Terry was kind of like no mood and looks a bit tired too (he also a bit sick - cough and flu 70% to recover). Since he was sleeping in the car for about 20 minutes, expected that he'll be charged up a bit when we reach.

After we ordered the food. The boy looks stoned, not comfortable to sit by himself and like wanted to cry out already. I talking to him, he was very scared. So I carry him up from the seat and wanted bring him to walk around in the shop checking out the Balinese items. He refused me and insist want daddy. So, I passed him to hubby and he brought him out the restaurant.
The stone look

Once out, he makes a big real fuss there, keep crying, do not want to back to the seat and not even want to step into the restaurant. Those waiteress try go near and cheer him, he gave ppl an even louder cry. They also scared of him already. Boy oh boy, for sure we do not have a peaceful time to eat. I know what he has been up to, aside from the body not comfortable, he also being shock by the dim environment inside the restaurant and the Balinese background music playing in the restaurant.

When the food and drinks arrived, we forced to shift everything out. We sat outdoor under a big umbrella with teak wood table and benches, very nice too, not heard the any music but he still refused to sit with us. Daddy just carry him few meters away from the restaurant and I continue to eat first. I wallop everything in speed just wanted to take over and calm down the boy. I really do not know how my Bali plate taste like. I also not in mood to check the ingredients in my plate.

Kambing Bumbu RM26, Nasi Campur Beef RM33
Drinks no pic - Avocado Shake RM10, Barley Lime RM6

When I finished up everything, daddy's turn to eat and I carry the boy also stay few meters away from the seat. Since outside still raining, we just walk around the building and wait for daddy. He looks calm down a bit, but still very refused back to the seat. Daddy also in no time gobble down everything in speed. Really, hubby is quite mad over the boy. But what to do, he behaved like that. Blame that we brought him out at the wrong time.

After the quick brunch, we hop on the car and back home, no elsewhere to go. Once back into our car, Terry was just alright, back to his active self. Back home at 3ish and still raining, the boy nap, I'm online and hubby out with his friend. Since I'm full fed; I skipped my dinner.
